So far there's no way to fix your situation other than a HW repair.

@Joonie is it possible to make my CECHL01 with RSOD into FSM? I have it in OFW 4.86. It can install HFW but not others CFW. Any thoghts?
Also, I have an old JIG (from PS3break dot com, the page is in archive dot org), can it boot somehow into FSM? its only to make Level2diag.self to execute from usb to repair that RSOD

You can use BGtoolset to flash your NAND and then install the CFW w/ RSOD patch, you do not need FSM.

Someone could help me? My ps3 stay on install mode because I tried to install the rebug 4.86 lite, I don't know about the bt error not allow to install a normal FW, I tried to enter in safe mode but still in update mode, what can I do? please!!!

Here's the list of packed CFW files

*****snip******

All of these modified versions has been built by @haxxxen's MFWbuilder MOD.

Are you able to pack it for bdemu so none working bd drives can still load from hdd?
Or are you still not happy adding the bdemu patches

I don't have any backup, my ps3 doesn't have CFW nor OFW :(
Your ps3 MUST have either a CFW (Custom FirmWare) or OFW (Official FirmWare)
As you own a superslim then your on OFW and cannot install a CFW your only option is a hen iirc

Hi, i have a super slim CECH-2101A model OFW 4.86. My BD can read DVD's fine, but only recognize a BluRay Disc if i insert the disc with the apperture is pointing up (Power and HDMI facing the flowr), when i can play any game using the BD fine. Can i use normal CFW or i need the noBD version?

you'll know if you get black screens when launching games or you can't update using normal cfw. nobd won't hurt a system with a broken bd drive, but it will limit it as a lot of cobra things don't work.

normal cfw.

nobd is only needed if you have problems when starting games/app/homebrew or updating firmware.

if you can get a disc to read, then you dont need nobd.

@Joonie, can you make 1 CFW which supports normal PS3 and broken BD Drive? remembering at FW <=4.46 before the Cobra team released the source code, Mlt could make CFW with BD EMU flag.

Thanks.

The reason why are released as different firmwares is because the noBD patches are conflictive, they breaks some features related with backup managers, as example the PS2 emulator

hello joonie I see that you are the guru here that's why I ask you. I have ofw 4.86 and I see that you mean bgtoolset, how do you do that in advance, thank you very much
