PS3 Multi-Track PS1 Games on PS3

Has anyone gotten multi-track ps1 games to work properly on cfw with webman? what I mean is that if I put all the .bin files in the PSXISO folder and refresh webman, all bin files will show in the xmb and background music won't play in games like twisted metal etc... and if I combine all the bins into one single bin the music still wont play... any ideas or a full on solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't looked into this much, but for a system like the pc engine, you have to have all sound files (possibly mp3 or wave) along with a cue and a bin. the cue lists each item (mp3/wave and binary) for a specific game. it needs to be exact or you won't get any sound. I did about 50 of them manually for some site a while back. it was for the pc engine though. the way it was set up originally had wrong names and whatnot, so I corrected the massive screw up. I haven't bothered too much with the ps3's psx stuff, so it may be a little different. you may try cotton (a psx, Japanese shmup). it's like the smallest game I've ever seen for the system unless you count MMX3 without the sound files.

Thanks for the reply. It's odd because if I combined them into one bin/cue the background music will work if I mount the game from multiman but not webman. It would be awesome if I could just launch the game from the xmb with everything working as it should.

I'm not really sure if every game has to have music separated, but it's generally like that for the pc engine. a lot of their cd games can be played in a cd player. and, I know mmx3 on the psx can be as well. I replaced my psx laser a little over 2 years ago (first one lasted 11-12 years). it's lightning fast aside from that one game that it struggles with, so sometimes mmx3 will be read as a regular cd.

If I recall correctly webMAN loads the BIN not cuesheet like multiMAN. Besides it is much better to mount using IRISMAN for PS1 games as it's method is the far superior format for HD and widescreen games using it's 16:9 display and smoothing makes games look so much better and I am sure if aldos could have done this for webMAN he would have by now.

speaking of which, I did manage to save my psx games when my external hdd connected to the ps3 failed. we're talking within a matter of days. the hdd is backed up to 3 hdds now.

lol, eldergate. ever played it? it's a JP rpg by konami. the battle music sounds hilarious.

That may be but the lack of a clean UI keeps me at a distance... Lol

alcohol 120% is what I would use to rip psx games, but it was so long ago that I don't remember if it dumped a proper bin/cue. it also costs money.

Would be even more awesome if someone add support for *.chd (if this is even possible). ^^ One file, and compressed by LZMA+FLAC (very fast, per block decompression). I wonder if this can be also adapted to PS3 *.iso and how much space we could safe by it.

You could try checking the ps1_netemu option the under 'Scan for devices' in webMAN MOD settings in a web browser. This will then use the emulator that's used for PS one Classics from the PS Store, instead of the ps1_emu which is used for PS1 game discs.

Dosnt work also i think the error should be in emulator can not read cue file because game work berfect but the audio work didnt work.
So did any one test any game that contain audio track to confirm that work using ps emu or any devloper which reverse code for ps1 emu that confirm that ps emu read cue file or its just read bin file only ?

Without stepping on toes unless there's some realtime patching of the game image done (of which i couln't find any proof in the source code), IRISMAN doesn't do anything special with the video options for psx games....in my experience.
Those video options can be enabled/disabled manually in the Game Settings menu in XMB, IRISMAN just triggers them. The only upside in using IRISMAN is the fact that it saves an individual config file for each game (i'm just talking about the video options in terms of upside).
These are the options: https://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/gamesettings.html (switching between SD/HD enables widescreen zoom/stretch, since only a few games have built in anamorphic widescreen mode. It works for both ps1_emu's so that means also for pbp format)

I tried all the tv's and displays in the house to see if there would be any difference (in terms of scaling and smoothing) but couldn't see any difference between IRISMAN and the mentioned Game Settings enabled (for exampel see gif below). I'd like to see some examples of others, might be that i tried the wrong games.

While I certainly cant speak for the man himself, given the fact he's done more complex work i'm pretty sure @aldostools can manage to implement enabling/disabling of some system settings in webman mod. (not saying he should tho)

BTW @atreyu187 did you manage to test those multitrack games i mentioned a few weeks back? Not that it has priority (since pbp method works fine for me) but I think a couple of us should try to test the same games to find out what might cause the issues with multitrack games.

Yes i hope to find the issues with multitrack games so if it work it is simple and not need to convert to pbp method ?
