This is a MOD of multiMAN 4.84.00 which was re-signed for PS3HEN by @Joonie and published on Brewology.com.
This version is compatible with CFW and PS3HEN and it does not show annoying nag screens.

This release was made patching the ELF contained in the SELF files data0 and data1 found in sys folder.
These files correspond to the executables of multiMAN and mmCM (multiMAN Cobra Manager) respectively.

The patches were these:
1- Changed /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp to /dev_hdd0/tmp/mmtmp to avoid conflicts with webMAN MOD.
This folder is used to store the cached sectors generated by prepNTFS when it scans ISOs on NTFS disks.
The wmtmp folder is also used by prepISO, but it uses a different file structure for the cached sectors.
As consequence multiMAN was corrupting the files in prepISO and vice versa. This resulted in frequent black screens when multiMAN and webMAN MOD were used together.

Separating the destination folder solves this conflict between prepISO and prepNTFS in multiMAN.

Why did I change the path multiMAN and not in webMAN MOD? Because it was easier to fix the path in a single application, instead of force the webMAN MOD users to update multiple tools.

2- Changed the help and support links in multiMAN. These links were outdated. Now the point to Brewology and DeanK's website apps.movian.eu.

3- Changed firmware detection to "4.91" instead of "4.75". So 4.75 and 4.86-4.91 are detected as 4.91.

4- Changed System Information to display again the firmware version.

Other major changes in the PKG:
  • Replaced prepNTFS.self with a modified version of prepISO adapted to use multiMAN's file structure of cached sectors. This tool adds support to scan ISO games stored in exFAT, NTFS and ext2/3/4.

  • Added FILEMM.SELF. This file is a modified version of Simple File Manager MOD (aka fm_psx) originally developed by @lmirel. This file manager application has support for copy / move / delete / rename files and folders stored in HDD, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS and ext2/3/4.

Launch this application from multiMAN's File Manager clicking on mmCM icon. This opens the folder /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR in a new window. From here select FILEMM.SELF and press (X) to launch the File Manager. The application returns to multiMAN on exit.

  • Updated SHOWTIME.SELF to movian M7 7.0.2. This is the latest SHOWTIME available for multiMAN. The standalone version of movian has more recent updates but it is not fully integrated to multiMAN.

  • Updated multiMAN theme. Based on the default theme with replaced backgrounds and silenced the background music SOUND.BIN and sys/BOOT.MP3
  • Updated name in PARAM.SFO to show multiMAN MOD

  • Updated paths in options_default.ini. It's recommended that the users check the paths in options.ini and update them according to their needs and environment.

  • LICENSE, SHOWTIME.VER and What's New.txt where updated too.

Some suggestions can you use this for SOUND.BIN?
Hear You Calling (newgrounds.com)
All you need to do is use constant bit rate on audacity and ensure it is 192 Kbps
also this one by ParagonX9 called Chaoz Fantasy which is free to use as well for music
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme...f14aa6ecef6437294a64d8243bc3953190e892c6013f&
for the BOOT.MP3

Based on the wording, it sounds like he created a muted SOUND.BIN and BOOT.MP3. you can probably replace them like you could with the original mm.

It sounds good... but like all background songs people gets tired soon.

I invite you to create your own multiMAN Themes. It's very easy and fun. Just download one theme, replace the files and repack them with mmTHM GUI.

@aldostools nice work! Did you ever restore the fixes to the exFAT Manager for the .. option crashing in directories with 2 letter names, as well the .. option not appearing in some cases? They were fixed for a while, but an update to IRISMAN broke them again, and I didn't test again since.

I fixed a few bugs in releases 0.8, 0.9 and 0.10. Maybe these issues were resolved. I haven't tested these particular scenarios.

So does this replace the standard multiMAN or is it a separate installation?

It overwrites the standard multiMAN installation in /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608. The package has minimal visual changes. So it looks & feels like the original multiMAN.

could be wrong, but based on one of the features, I think it replaces it as it's using the same title id afaik.

edit: yep, I think this is the same title id as normal multiman:

edit 2: try this. I changed the last number of the title id

Changing the installation path in the PKG and PARAM.SFO to BLES80607 is not enough.
The application and prepNTFS.self has hardcoded the path for BLES80608 for many tasks including scan cached NTFS & exFAT files.

Why someone would want 2 multiMANs? If an user don't want this MOD simply should not install it.

The original multiMAN corrupts the cached NTFS games scanned by webMAN MOD or prepISO and vice versa causing black screens and system hangs. This MOD was done to fix this conflict. That's why multiMAN is replaced and not installed separately..

a question:

Multiman MOD solved this problem???
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ultra-street-fighter-iv-blus31218-black-screen.12524/

Previously this game worked with irisman, webmanMOD and managunz but with multiman it resulted in a black screen, does this happen to anyone else, I'm just going to try it

Note: all the games in iso worked fine for me except for this game with multiman

multiMAN MOD solves the black screen issues and freezes caused by corruption of the cached .ntfs[PS3ISO] files.

Other black screen issues caused by dynamic fan control on HEN or bad configuration is not solved.

Some games in multiMAN require additional settings pressing SQUARE and changing these options.

Thanks Aldostools, I'm going to try this new version of Multiman

Finally, does this version support rebug 4.81-4.84 with CEX and DEX functions?
