multiMAN MOD

PS3 multiMAN 4.91 MOD by aldostools Explained 4.91

A little off topic but does disabling syscalls before playing a game save memory usage and allow for better stability or when you start a game everything unloads and it makes no difference?

It makes no difference. Processes loaded in memory stay loaded until you quit them.

Disabling CFW syscalls mainly prevents that homebrews use peek/poke memory or execute code. It's only necessary if you're going online, to prevent that your PS3 sends the syscall table to PSN servers when you login and for some online games that check if CFW syscalls are enabled. Cobra that prevents homebrews execution while CFW syscalls are disabled. Running homebrews online would make evident to PSN that you have modified your PS3.

I think I found a bug.

I wish Multiman had the PS2 Disc support for PS3 models. I don't have to create the iso because I already have the PS2 game.

CECHA PS3 does have full backward compatibility.
PS3 models don't have full backward compatibility.

Hmm I have CFW EVILNAT 4.88.2 COBRA 8.3 [CEX] and multiMAN shows:
PS3™ System: Firmware 4.91 [SC-35 | PL3]

What is your full CFW name?

Not sure on either detail,

but he may be using PS3HEN and could be why 4.80 is only showing.

This because FW4.90 kernel uses the 4.80s one.
Multiman detects FW from the kernel, so it shows as 4.80.
This is also the case with the original multiman 4.90 is detected as 4.80.
FW4.89 and 4.91 used the each kernel version, but 4.90 used an older kernel for some reason.

As you already mentioned it can only on backwards compatible models! Not on the others.

I tried this one, rolled back to the 2019 mmcm, both still high fail rate to load, many black screens to force power off (2019 one was more successful before curiously)

Using fat CECHA the everything launch model hardware backwards compatibility, did new HEN HFW over and says v3.30

I don't know what HDD I got it with, certainly don't think it's the 60gig perhaps a 250? I've done tons with this setup both Gran Turismo master mods started from discs installed and shame need mmcm to run them, does not cooperate hardly @ all no more
