hi all i have moded my ps3 and am having a problem with multiman.i have formated the 2tb usb to fat 32 then put it in. i put a game in i want to back up the first 2 games it lets me copy to usb then the problems start it starts to load then aborts but will copy to hdd .the reason why i want on usb is so i do
not fill interal fast. what am i doing wrong can any one advise how to get it to copy all the time to usb many thanks

Probably mM have them split. I didn't use mM for ages, so I dunno, maybe there is some option in settings set auto splitting. Or maybe not. Or maybe you didn't use FAT32 but NTFS. :P

i have made sure the usb is formated to right format so ps3 can read it. it must be ok as i have saved games over 9gb straight over with no problem but it only loads a few on then starts aborting and re formated it a few time but still only letting me put 2 or 3 games on it can any one help please

use mmCM to rip iso to internal hdd. then copy to fat32 usb using mmCM's file manager. it will split the files as needed and webman will use them as they are. delete the copy on internal hdd when done. do them one at a time if you do not have much space.

this is the only way i got my iso files on usb using multiman. going straight to usb always gave me problems.

i backup everything to exFAT usb hdd (using a pc) but keep the files split so i can just copy them to fat32 and play as they are.

thanks will try that .the funny bit is the usb is in fat 32 and it did copy 2 games over using mmcm copy not iso but then starts aborting

it's single files being over 4GBs, not the entire game (unless that's one file, like an iso). also, certain filenames will not copy over, because windows doesn't like certain, unique characters. either one of those will cause an abort or copy failure.

its not on windows it on the ps3 that i use multiman to copy the game using the disc.it did copy a file over 4gb going to try formated usb in ntfs and see if thst works

looks like i found a way using managunz

so whats the best way to copy a disc to a usb to save filling the internal hard drive using the ps3 not pc
when i tried ripping ps3 iso straight to usb using multiman, the files never appeared in any file manager under windows. i had to rip to internal hdd and then copy to usb.

so..first rip to internal hdd. then copy to usb. last, delete the iso from internal hdd and move to the next disc.

im going to do it the easy way. i have got hold of a joblot of internal hard drive and am going to put in them ans swap over from time to time so i have the games on the hdd and make a list of what is on each hard rive a bit easier i think at least this way i can download the games with out trouble doing it that way
