MultiMAN Black Screen (Spontaneous)

Hi guys,
So i am new to Modding PS3's. A few day's ago i got a ps3 FAT CECHL01, wich was already updated to 4.87. So i followed some guides and did what i could with what i had. Everything went smooth, multiMAN DID launch. I got to the Donate screen, and ive gotten into multiMAN with the black background ect to see that what i did WORKED. It was 4am so i shut it down, was going to do more today like games ect. Now when i launch it its stuck on a black screen before entering into multiMAN. And have to use the power switch to turn off the PS3. This black screen is spontaneous, it was working fine before.

I followed this guide.

My Software Version: 4.87
I used ps3xploit.
I have my before and after Dumps.
I have CFW 4.87.2 Evilnat Cobra [CEX]
I have used pyps3 checker for errors.
I have Multiman 4.85.01 PKG File installed.

Please go easy on me, i didnt know this was a (THING) until about 3 days ago. I build computers and very tech saavy, but this stuff with PS3 is new for me.

When mmCM (multiMAN for Cobra) starts, it scans for NTFS content executing prepNTFS.
This application shows a black screen while it completes the scanning.
Try deleting /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/sys/prepNTFS.self

Also you could try a different backup manager like IRISMAN, ManaGunZ or webMAN MOD

Delete the file through FTP or using a File Manager.

If your bluray drive is broken, then the cause of the black screen is other (e.g. in another thread an user reported that the black screen on multiMAN was because he needed to use the noBD edition of the CFW).
 
So what really grinds my gears is, today when I woke up I tried to launch it again. Launched fine about 3 or 4 times. Seems to work fine now. It freezing and going black is completely random. I just hope it doesnt do it when I actually wanna play and not tinker.
 
hi i have a similiar problem, i also new to all of this so i also get the black screen when trying to startup multiman. My bluray drive is broken , so i dont know if this has something to do with the black screen. i really need help . so what iv done is i have reinstalled evilnat ....ive deleted and reinstallen diffrent versions of multiman.....still getting the black screen....please help me !!

if none of your apps or games will launch, try evilnat's nobd version.
