Multiman immediately cancels copying of packages

Hello there :)
I usually work with ISOs/JB Folder and I never had issues with multiman during that. However, today I wanted to copy (and merge) package parts using multiman, but it immediately cancels the transfer process without any error message. I tried to put them in a folder called packages and replace the packages folder on the hdd - same thing. I tried to paste the folder into the folder on the hdd - same thing, only one thing gets pasted and that is the folder itself without the content. Oddly enough though, if I use mmOS tland select the USB drive it shows all the package part.

I'm using Evilnat 4.88.2 and I did something today that may be the reason: I needed to activate my console so I used the tool to disable the syscalls (I thought that may be relevant).

Please help me, I just want to play LA Noire after trying to get it to work for over a week now :(

Have a nice day everyone.

Why bother copying to your system first? Just install the PKG and be done with it? But I HATE mM file manager. Use IRISMAN or Managunz they are so much better especially for NTFS support.

Thanks, I will try Irisman. Might take a while before I can offer results though, for some reason my pc forces me to format my USB drive since I formatted it to NTFS so I'll have to solve that before.

Yeah multiMAN to use NTFS you have to setup the PFS drivers and it is hit or miss. Any Iris fork has great NTFS support. Nothing extra needed to be done.

I also favour Irisman's dual pane file manager, it never failed me (Managunz's is a decent alternative) & like atreyu187, I never use multiman's FM which read-only NTFS support via PFS has worked on average with 20% of the disks I have tried over the years.

So I used Irisman to copy over the package and now I have the following questions:
Copying the file (around 12gb) took ages and by that I mean I had to leave the console on while sleeping, is that normal or did I mess up formatting the USB drive/setting up Irisman?
After the copying process the B-side of the file manager (that was the one where the root of my USB drive was opened) the size of the package I copied was displayed as something like 12mb (however, the available storage place shown on the top right corner was still the same) - is this normal?
And finally, does the exdata folder/.rap file have to be somewhere on the console or can I just plug in a Fat32 drive with said folder, use react psn and remove the stick afterwards?
Edit: Ignore the last question, figured that out by myself :)

Well the speeds vary on a few things that could effect the copy speeds. PS3 is only USB 2.0 and the flash drive could also be an older tad slower drive. And if you have a lower RPM HDD can effect the speeds as well.

But wouldn't that problem have also occurred when I used multiman? Copying Red dead redemption took less than an hour, is it because the package is a single file instead of a folder system?

Folders & files take much longer to copy & waste disk space, you should probably favour ISO files stored on external NTFS partitions.

I usually copy because I don't have an external HDD at the moment. My only storage media is a 32gb USB drive at the moment (which is use to run games from if my internal is full). I'm planning on getting one in the near future though.

And turns out the Irisman problem was apparently a one time only phenomenon, when I copied over a 5,2gb file yesterday it took a couple of minutes.

It is dependent upon the game. ISO is one large or a few large files so it only has a I get read access a few times. Whereas JB folders can have thousands of files to start and stop so it is very dependent upon the game. If you convert everything to ISO or split ISO it is substantially faster.
