PS2 [MX4SIO/SIO2SD] SD Card Adapter and SD-driver for the PS2 SIO2 interface

That's some awesome news!

Just saying... When I reply, do NOT add me to the lottery! ;)
I mean... I rather want someone else to get it.

Sure wish the waitlist function on the sale page of this ACTUALLY worked. I've made an account and signed up for the waitlist TWICE and both times, when I check the next time I'm no longer on the waitlist. I've missed out on the last two drops of the MC2SIO because if this.

I am aware there are some issues with it taking names off but I have the entire list of people that were once on the list (it's pretty large) I plan to send an email to everyone on there once I have my latest batch which should be enough for everyone who showed interest in roughly 7- 10 days. I don't know what the issue is with the waitlist and will try to fix it in the meantime.

Does anyone have the link to the FMCB v1.964 Installer ELF? I can't seem to find it, and would like to see if the Deckard consoles will work with this version like the user above who had issues with their console using FMCB v1.966

@TnA might know.

I have it on my PC from years ago, but i can't upload it here because the .zip file is too large. Maybe i can email it you @AngryHelder ...if you want PM me with your email address.

i would like to buy a pcb if anybody in the usa has any. dont need card shell as i got tons of official 8mbs i can use. would love to try it out on my scph-90000 slim

Would someone know of an alternative for full size SD card slot DM1B-DSF-PEJ(82)?
DM1B-DSF-PEJ(82) is obsolete and replaced by DM1B-DSF-PEJ(92) however both are out of stock from major component suppliers.
I have checked the datasheet to find a replacement but was unsuccessful to do so due to the "reverse" pinout. All other solutions that could be a match in terms of number pins, pitch, right angle mount.... are widely available all with a standard pinout.

Just in case, that post explains why I am looking for full size SD card slot https://www.psx-place.com/threads/m...-ps2-sio2-interface.29210/page-35#post-323846

If it helps... i know a distributer that has the (BOM) MicroSD Hirose DM3BT-DSF-PEJS in stock. This is where i got mine from. But they don't have the normal size SD type.

However, i don't know if this would help you, because you're not looking for the MicroSD one, right? I would just post the link, but if i did that someone would come along and buy that whole stock up. ;)

Thanks for lending a hand but yes I've already made 3 x mx4sio with MicroSD (2 of them were sold to friends and I kept one for sure). I'll just hold on the 2 remaining PCB's for now until I can find the normal size SD slots.

Possible but both PS2PSXe and POPStarter projects are dead, so at least officially they will not support MX4SIO. However, ffgriever is still active "here and there", also @krHACKen. So... who knows. Technically it is fully possible. ;)

Is there a list of microsd card brands that people tested? I know Microcenter works, but I heard SanDisk and Kingston should work too? Curious to hear what others have tried, thanks!

Most SanDisk do not work.
Toshiba Exceria are working VERY good!

Yep agree, Toshiba Exceria are really good. Fastest write speed too compared with my other brand mem' cards, i'm getting a rock solid 14.5MB/s with the Toshiba, which is good for a Class 10.

I also had ~100KB/s higher bandwidth with them on the PS2, than with most other brands! :)
It is quite noticeable on DECKARD-PS2s, where we are basically exactly at the MPEG2 for DVD specs!

It has a bit less stutters on high bandwidth FMVs, like in DBZ BT3 on a DECKARD-PS2!
My SAMSUNG EVO 256GB has problems starting FF XII, but it works fine with the TOSHIBA EXCERIA!

@Takeshi's tests were also most successful with those!
These are great cards in general, but especially for the PS2!
They DO cost a bit more than most other cards it seems though.

Btw.: Can anyone try a BIIIIG SD card? 1TB or 2TB even? It should work with up to 2TiB/2.2TB!

The MicroSD card I've used till now on the Deckard PS2, It works fine as long as the cluster size is set to 16k.
