PS3 My evilnat adventure

Hi,

I've been a member before and have been following the forums with great interest. Last week I found a CFW capable PS3 SLIM CECH-2004B and have since installed Evilnat 4.92.2 (I had to wait some days before ps3toolset came back online).

Ran into some issues that might be worth sharing (I'm using a external HDD formatted as NTFS):
  • Evilnat now supports on the fly decryption but multiman and webman both give me encryption related errors
  • In the readme for Evilnat it says that in order to use on the fly decryption you need to use prepiso
  • Prepiso and webman both scan NTFS attached HDD and might conflict causing issues
  • The NTFS scanning webman does can be disabled from the settings
  • I had an issue where prepiso would not see some ISOs and that turned out to be an issue with transferring multiple files to the external HDD. Moving them one by one fixed it and now all games are visible.
All seems to be working well now. Thanks to all the developers for their hard work!

Hey @fr3sc0,

I have personally found IRISMAN to be the best solution to accessing NTFS formatted external HDDs.
I have fought with PrepISO over the years with varying levels of success, but now IRISMAN is my go to.
I actually have Multiman, Webman, Managunz and IRISMAN installed (and yes, the default file manager that is included in evilnat cfw is another). It may seem a little excessive, but if one wont recognise a drive another likely will.
Shoutout to @aldostools for his great work :-D

Hi!

I will check out IRISMAN too! Its because I want to use the built in decryption in evilnat that I have to use PrepISO. Maybe that changes in the future as the feature matures. As long as I transfer the games one by one it all seems to behave haha.
