My jailbroken PS3 Has Been Running incredibly slow, solution?

I have a Used white Japanese PS3 FAT model that was already jailbroken when i bought it, i have it for a year and a half now and i never really used it to play any graphically intense mostly played PSN Games like splunky and Dustforce for the longest time with the exception of Sonic and sega All-star Racing wich did run pretty well but weirdly had horribly pixelated resolution, anyway today i installed Spider-man: Web of shadows on my HHD and ran HORRIBLE playable But HORRIBLE, fre rate was constantly dipping resolution was assuredly bad, at first i thought this was because PS3 ports usually ran worse then Because the PS3 Is Harder to devolpe for then the XBOX 360 So most companies would Make an XBOX 360 Game then hastily ported to the PS3 Because 36p was easier to devople for but when i saw PS3 gameplay on YouTube that was not the case, it looked and ran way better then my copy, (sidenote: the format of the game i download off the net is in a game folder type thing not an pkg or iso file, also the exact website i download from is dlpsgame.com)

So any way How can i fix:

-The awful pixelated resolution? (Tell me if it's a tv problem cause iam not sure if it is)
-The frame rate?

So my first "fix" would be to run the file system restore & rebuild database from safe mode.

Then scan the HDD for corruption as it's the easiest fix most are capable of doing. Now you will lose any data on the drive so back it up if you want it. For reasons like this I keep all my ganes on a NAS drive so one nothing is lost and secondly all my PS3's share the same drive and thus way less data occupied.

If you haven't I would look into some maintenance of the system. While I love my phat BC systems they do require quite a bit more love & patience. If not comfortable with delidding pay someone to do it. Very very easy to get a paperweight.

Everytime I have had artifacting the system has been on the way out the door. Could be the RSX is giving out, could need the NEC Tokin caps replaced, power supply could be on the way out. Upgrade to the 40gb model less heat and power consumption.

As much info as you can post will help diagnose it further. Even if you think it may be of no importance it may help others. Like is the system sealed? Any known repairs, what firmware, plugins etc all can help. Without useful information that could help diagnose most will just skim past. Sorry took me so long to approve the post.

Nope it will not but if you haven't yet grab your eID root key. Will allow you to dump data from your HDD in case if emergency. The only negative thing that happens and I use it loosely is if you have your XMB categorized you will have to do that again. Always start at the easiest things to check first. Can help eliminate & isolate the issues. If the previous person enabled QA debug options you can skip the HDD file system check. If skipped it could just be corrupted files and an easy fix. I have this done myself as it can get annoying when testing stuff. But rebuild and repair only touch firmware stuff not any user changes or software.
