PS3 my new "baby"

Well I thought I might change the thermal paste then give you the number but I just delid the whole thing about 3 months ago Temps are awesome. And after Joanie helped me fix my dump after I bricked the dam thing it works excellent except for the Region problem when playing DVD movies or blue ray movies. But for game play it works great, the console seems more responsive than a retail console. Not sure if that has to do with the extra ram or not in debug settings there is option for retail memory or tool memory but not sure if it makes any difference o_O
For curiosity sake... i starting wondering about the exact CELL model used in DEB-001 while doing this lists:
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/CELL_BE#Alternative_listing

The point is... in wiki we have some pages with the pinout of some components... and the CELL solder pads changed 4 times:
CELL 90nm (41x41)-(19x19)-84 = 1681-361-84 = 1236 pads layout
CELL 65nm (41x41)-(15x17)-84 = 1681-255-84 = 1342 pads layout
CELL 45nm (41x41)-(17x17)-84 = 1681-289-84 = 1308 pads layout
CELL 45nm (42x42)-(22x18)-9 = 1764-396-9 = 1359 pads layout

When sony was designing the DECR-1400/DEB-001 it seems they was "cherry picking" the best components availables from the previous PS3 models (i other words... from the PS3 fats), i cant mention any specific component right now, but the DEB-001 is like a megamix of the best components they had at that time

In that sense... the CELL of the DECR-1400/DEB-001 is a 65nm right ? (im not completly sure about this, but is very important because the pad layouts for 45nm are different than 65nm)
And additionally... every member of each "CELL series" was given a suffix (either "GB" -> "AGB" -> "BGB" -> "CGB")
We dont know what means that suffix, but obviouslly there is a progression with them, so in theory... the "BGB" is newer/better than "AGB" and so on

Lets say... from the group of CELL models manufactured at 65nm the best/newest is the CXD2990BGB
Thats what i would like to know... if the DECR-1400/DEB-001 have a CXD2990BGB... or if is something older

*But is mostly a curiosity, im not going to ask you to dissassemble the PS3 just to check it... eventually someone will mention it or/and me or someone else will find a nice photo of it in google as a proof

@sandungas, it has the 45nm is this better or worse than the 65nm? Forgive me if I sound stupid..lol and also are you saying there could be older and newer 45nm. Also not quite sure but CXD2990BGB looks uncannily like the number when I had it apart:D

45nm is better than 65nm (lower power requirements, lower temperature, redesigned internal circuits, etc...)

In wiki is mentioned the DEB-001 have a CELL 65nm but there is not any photo of it so personally i doubt it because i think when they designed the DECR-1400/DEB-001 they already had the prototypes of the CELL 45nm (used for first time in PS3 slims CECH-20xx/DYN-001 retail production)

Ok then, then there would not be an older version of the 45nm then. Maybe some DECR-1400 have one or the other maybe that could be the difference between older and newer?

The console does run cooler than any of my other consoles considerably

Good night, I made an update of the game when entering the site to install it appears access denied help me

update here as well:

I finally got my "Debby" back from Victor and it has arrived just today, yippyaiyay. I will test it at weekend or tomorrow evening, though. he has replaced RSX with another 65nm one, as I have wished. unfortunately he has sealed it, but I will break it open again, hehe. I will give her a custom shell and of course, custom heatsinks, but I will be more gentle this time. also, he has perma installed my teensy to her, which is working fine now.
dunno what has gone wrong with it, cause I have broken 2 PS3's now with it, my Debby and a Slim. must be electronics stuff in general, cause I hate physics and currents.

edit
so yes, mine has (had) a 65nm RSX. I also have purchased now a nice and decent flasher with clip for my 1000A, so I can mess around with it as well. will make a nice 4.21 DEH Cobra version

have found now 2 cases, which make perfect candidates:

either Azza Pyramid (bit overkill)
jlUlM6k.jpg

or better one, Aerocool Strike-X Air (over 10 years old, so need luck to get one)

yay, back in business. just installed 3.55 DEH OFW and it is working fine :D
I have to admit, I was scared and worried at first, but now I am really happy again. I even could hug the whole world, no joke :)

big shoutout to @vyktormvmpay25 . you are the greatest and best person I have ever met on web and the 1st one I would like to shake hands personally with (nothing against any other community members on here though and I like you all)

but still, a little worry about using teensy though, since I have broken my Slim with it and probably messed up my Debby.
now I can begin with my 4.21DEH Cobra adventure, hehe

unfortunately, the teensy does not work and probably is not properly soldered. even though, I will stay away from soldering and instead will use a Clip with teensy. hopefully, teensy is not broken and if so, I have to get another E3flasher, cause flashcat usb only supports 48pin NOR :(

anyways, have I ever mentioned, porting Cobra is exhausting? fortunately, the CFW is almost done, so I am only busy with address porting of Cobra on 4.21 DEH kernel

first picture of Debby moving to another case :D
XNG0Gkr.jpg

I have used PS Pad buttons for spacers, lol
I probably will leave the emi shield, but this awful and crappy cooler has to be removed - I hate it and have done damage on first time I have removed it. will use the tower coolers from my CECHL though.

the usb ports I will solder, so I can use the front usb ports

What is your minver on that console out of curiosity?

thanks :)
are you talking about a 1400A? below 2.6 impossible, cause of 65nm RSX
my console is a cech2001a i haven't powered it on in like months after figuring out the community was focused on ps5/ps4
but i do often use pc and mobile. i was thinking why not try to save up for a superslim prototype? it is expensive but be'd nice to try it out.

the early Slims are also 65nm, so same goes for them.

I also want to get a Superslim next, when I am done with my TOOLS (CFW, and changing case). want to mess around with flashing and observation on SS.

not me, I am not moving from PS3 at all and you won't get me away. though, PS4 I will leave out and will only get a PS5 in future (some time this year)

Actually I don't have ps4/ps5 sorry but I do allow you because I have cech4301c

I was hoping you'd come out eventually to help research Metldr2 so with an open able superslim I'm open to any flashing tests with my e3

I have both cfw and non cfw ps3

If ya did gladly succeed though I can finally swap back to my 500 GB on my superslim and use that for cfw

I don't think I can be of any help there. this would probably mean to hardware hack the console, what I am not able to
