So,my original hdd got corrupted. I tried formatting it,but it would get stuck,i dont know why,but doesent matter now. So,I've got a 500gb hdd from a old laptop of mine,and installed the newest update from a friend of mine,that stays pretty far from me,since i don't have a pc that works 
. So,i introduced the 500 gigs hdd into the ps3(slim),and the usb stick too,booted her up,pressed on the controller select and start at the same time,and it started searching the usb for the update file,and it founded it. So,i left it download,with a message on the screen saying something like:after the installation,the system will restart. So i've let it restart,and it remained like this ,i unplugged the ps3 from the power,and replugged it after,and it was showing nothing,and the monitor was saying that it wasnt detecting no signal. I felt something aint right,so i stopped the system,and taken off the hdd,and restarted it,and it was popping on my monitor that the hdd is missing,or sum like that,i have to mention that ,when starting the console with the hdd introduced ,the cylinder looking figure,that is right next to the frontal usb's is showing a yellow light for like 5 seconds,and right after,nothing popus up no more,please help me,im kinda desperate.
