Here's a thread dedicated to my own experience with my first ever piece of beautiful PS3 Development Hardware: DECR-1400a! I recently acquired this with a "small group buy" with other reverse engineer developers I have formed a group with. This baby came from Europe - UK.
Costing around $650-750 in USD Total!
Here is some pics:

Found these on this kit which is Until Dawn development Data, as well as Walking with Dinosaurs.
Recovery of the HDD is already underway with a dedicated group working with me to recover deleted data from the HDD, that is all I can say for now!

Here is my final temps after doing a 30 minute stress test idling on xmb.
I restarted the system once hence startup is reporting 12 mins, but i did get it to 30 minutes later on.
This thread will be updated with more information when I make it public.

Heya, if you don't mind me asking, how did you install the DECR Rebug firmware? Just wanted to know because i'm wanting to update my DECH devkit so i can have full access to what's on it. Did you simply upgrade the firmware from whatever it was on before? Or did you have to do something to it beforehand. Thanks!

EDIT: All good, i figured it out. Luckily these devkits are already QA'ed, downgraded to 3.55 and installed PASTA.

So now that you have a DECR does this mean Venom Elite Gaming Group is going to release something, or is it just a signature? :)

A DECH, but that is something i don't know unfortunately. The last time i worked on something for the group was when i made that Modern UI Clock XMB mod.

EDIT: I wish i also had a DECR tho. :-p

nice! :D

(btw, over 600 bad shutdowns; the original devs didn't like to shut-down the DECR properly, or their code crashed A LOT :-p)
No kidding, that or Webman considers shutdowns via Target Manager bad shutdowns? or I am wrong on that assessment?

Well it's syscon storing these afaik, nothing to do with webMAN really, it just reads the data, so maybe syscon does not consider those proper shutdowns.

Its related to a "turnoff" file in dev_hdd0 as far as I can make out, and how it gets renamed to turnoff.bak, then I guess this file is used like a flag to log shutdowns.

Makes sense!
