My slim CFW CECH-2004b died, looking for alternative to use NTFS external HDD

So I have shorts on the CPU and GPU caps (console is dead, no standly light) and was using an external USB NTFS HDD to load isos. I would like to either fix this console or get a super slim console, which can only use HEN as I know. How much of a hassle would this be to install webman on a new super slim and use the external HDD with it? Or should I fix my current slim model/get another slim with CFW?
