PS3 Need few clarifications regarding PS3 GPU Swap

Hello, everyone special thanks to RipFelix for all the job around the PS3.

I'm going to attempt to do a Frankie and I wan't to kindly ask anyone who has done it a few clarifications.

Here are the facts:

  • I'm in Colombia, no one here knows how to do it, and sending it to the US is extremely expensive.
  • I'm a Software Engineer but I don't know anything about actual electronics although I'm 100% comfortable soldering and testing voltages, I have repaired my own consoles in the past, delided my PS3, converted my DualShocks3's gamepads to USB-C also my PSP and Nintendo 3DS.
  • I will not be doing the GPU swap itself. I will hire someone that has done reballings for PS3 and other devices.
  • I have a CECHA-01 obviously and CECH-2511A
My first concern is regarding the voltage mod. ComputerBooter itself told me that the bd3504 chip can be also found inside the CECH-2511B, I wanted to ask if someone can point me up to the exact location or the manuals where I can trace it.

Should I delid the PS3 Slim GPU before the swap or is the IHS necessary for the re-balling process? Like to protect the GPU?

Must I do the voltage MOD first or can I do it after the swap? Can it be powered on safely without the voltage mod? I'm asking because I would like to send a both working PS3 to the workshop to avoid any misunderstandings.
