PS2 Need help modding SLIM ps2

Im looking to mod a slim ps2, I want to use free mcboot to get my iso file games on my ps2 but im not sure how or what to do this with on a slim. I have very little knowledge on this stuff so i just wanted to know what is the best way to do this as a beginner and still have that fast loading?
