PS3 Need help with game bugging out

I'm having an issue with the PS2 game R:Racing Evolution. I'm playing on a stock, no cfw, backward compatible PS3 ceche01. The game is not loading models for cars and they are all invisible or silhouettes of cars. It has made the game unplayable and I love this game. If anyone has advice about how to proceed please let me know, I would really appreciate it.
