PS3 Need help with playing games on my ps3 again.

I have a slim ps3 which is not compitable with cfw so I cracked it using HWF(4.89) and HEN.
Just before the official 4.90 update I had to install HWF (4.89) via recovery mode for some reasons. Now in order to play games on my PS3, I have to go online at least once. But the problem is since I am on 4.89, ps3 doesn't allow me to go online and I can get past the "sign up" screen.

I tried to go online by bypassing the update using the method on this link "https://www.psx-place.com/threads/h...update-and-go-online.31951/page-3#post-358148" but I had an error which is "The connection to the server timed out(80028E01)" when I clicked on "sign up" link on XMB menu.

I can still enable HEN (which is for 4.89) but my ps3 games don't start as they require that I activate my ps3.

So can anyone somehow help me activate my ps3 and run games until HEN for 4.90 is ready.

You only need to activate your console to play games purchased via the PS3 store. Discs should play just fine without having to go online at all. If for some reason it won't let you play discs then you have a different problem.
I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "sign up" - maybe you meant "sign in"? You can't sign up to new PSN accounts on the PS3 anymore, you have to do that on a PC.
But yeah, afaik if your PS3 is not CFW compatible you have to wait for the HEN 4.90 update before you can activate and play your digital games. I don't think HEN can spoof its firmware version (but maybe someone else would correct me). Or you can update to 4.90 now, activate your console and give up on homebrew for a couple of weeks until the HEN update is released.
 
apollo save tool can make a fake account for offline play. you still need rap file (or rif file to convert) to reactivate games.
