PS3HEN Need Help

I was on 4.88 HEN CEX Firmware and had to switch my hard drive.
And i am unsure what UPDATE file i should use

I attempted to install Sony's 4.88 as well as DEX and CEX FIRMWARE but was unable to do so, leaving me in Recovery mode. Before adding the hardrive, I also formatted it to FAT32.
Do you have any suggestions on what we should do?

There are no DEX PUPs available for 4.88, there are basically 3 pertinent CEX 4.88 PUPs:
1. OFW 4.88 (it can be used on any CEX console)
2. HFW 4.88.1 (on any CEX console)
3. Evilnat Cobra CFW 4.88.2 (only on CFW compatible CEX models)

From recovery mode, you should be able to install either HFW 4.88.1 or OFW 4.88.
HFW is 99.99% identical to OFW, the only difference is that HFW repacks the browser engine from OFW 4.82 so that old browser exploits can still be used to launch HEN.

Remember to use a small USB stick partitioned in FAT32 only with MBR partition scheme, not with GPT.
I suggest you favour a stick with a led if possible, it makes it easier to see when the stick gets accessed.
