PS3 Netcheat and PS3MAPI

Hi everyone!

Hope you are well. I was reading that latest Netcheat (v4.55) supports PS3MAPI for both CEX and DEX and wanted to give it a try.

I'm sure that PS3MAPI is included and active in Cobra v8 because I can test it with webMAN MOD web interface.

But when I try to link Netcheat to my PS3 with PS3MAPI, the connection always fails and I'm not sure what is the issue (no logs or error details).

So I was wondering if Netcheat indeed supports PS3MAPI at all or do I have something misconfigured.

Both my PS3 and my PC are connected wirelessly to my router, maybe that's the main issue here but I don't have an ethernet USB adapter nor ethernet port on my laptop.

I think net cheat required CC API? I don't fully remember, but there was also a kind of fake CC DLL that you could use to bridge between them and use MAPI

NetCheat supports PS3MAPI. Make sure that PS3MAPI server is enabled in webMAN's setup. The option for PS3MAPI is found next to the combo for "DEL CFW SYSCALLS" in the section XMB/In-Game PAD SHORTCUTS.

The option is DISABLED by default. If it is enabled, it is required to restart the system to allow the plugin start the PS3MAPI server in port 7887.

NOTE: When the PS3MAPI option is enabled, all the CFW syscalls except the syscall 8 are removed when R2+△ is used to remove the CFW syscalls.

Yes, I also thought that Netcheat required CCAPI and/or DEX. But then PS3MAPI was added in the latest update I think, which was pretty cool. I will try to get that fake CC DLL, just in case.

You sir, are a blessing!. Indeed, PS3MAPI was disabled. So, I enabled it and now Netcheat was able to connect over WiFi.

Well, I've been doing some tests and unfortunately PS3MAPI is too slow (it can't even finish range scanning the memory because it gives timeout).

So I had to switch to CCAPI, which is a bit faster but not on par of TMAPI on DEX.

TMAPI > CCAPI > PS3MAPI

TMAPI is for DEX
CCAPI is for CEX CFW
PS3MAPI for unjailbreakble consoles

I have ps3 slim with ps3hen. Which process do i attach to? Also i don't see the "netcheat attached" in the game? Thanks.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for like a tutorial on how to install and use net cheat. Is it working for evilnat 4.90 cfw.

dude i need your help so bad. I made a thread in PS3 homebrew here about games that need fancy config setting. I need to be able to set and VU1 and VU0 to super VU for the getaway and the metal gear solid games. Sorry for contacting you like this

usually you have to attach the first that shows up. I have HFW hen too, I can't find ranges, can you help with that? netcheat breaks or takes a lot, and btw I can't pause game while scanninng, is this normal?
