The hen system is not available there, if the firmware does not mean it can be run as desired

let's see our developer releases it directly to the public and see the results

I'm proud, even though I don't know yet, at least we have the knowledge that we get

If you stick with 4.87 just stay there and wait for hen xploit for the release


I'm not an expert in the field of systems

however, the developers here can help you solve the problems you are facing

Hello. Does this means that I can install HEN on HFW4.87.1 by accessing this website instead of the official one. I'm already on HEN, previous HFW firmware. No rush for updating either. Just curios.

It only means you can run HEN on it. you still need the package installer entry. once you have that it should work normally

Not sure why changing your email is paramount, this implies that just the email alone is enough to get into your account. The way I see it, if you change your password, they do not have enough info to sign in.

At the end of the day people need to give their email to other people in order to receive emails, create accounts etc.

Thanks for that information, this is more of a server side issue than anything else. With some research you can find that habib wrote and sold a tool used for mass checking email and password lists for PSN accounts, which is likely what he's hinting at here. The PS3 is relevant because it looks like he used the certs from dev_flash in the tool. Tbh, he probably only reported it to Sony because his tool's licensing system was cracked.

Pretty much nothing significant looks to be changed from 4.86 > 4.87. I doubt anything actually needs to be ported over, probably just the version strings in the scripts that need changing.

That's pretty much all I did. Duplicated 4.86 entries in Java script and changed the version to 4.87. Hen then installed from offline installer and I ran managunz to extract the original hen package. Getting hen enabler working after that was a quick category_game.xml edit where at the bottom it says fwv=4.86 to 4.87. after that everything functions properly.
 
If playstation actually communicated more with its consumers/users regarding important matters such as future changes, current issues that are arising, and compensating its consumers/users that have been affected for any of their mistakes/F%$#-ups would be a good way of starting a good path for their company/business. I know for a fact that this would be impossible for them since they always like to be secretive when it comes to issues which leads to doing things without thinking and this is where problems arrives.

The Auto HEN Installer has been updated by @lmn7 to support 4.87. Get the files here and be sure to see the OP of that thread for instructions and special notes!

EDIT:
you don't need the pkg from my above post for this. it will install a working 'Enable HEN" icon on its own.
