what makes one antiban eboot better than the next when youre looking for one and do you ever need to change it ?

Some Anti-Ban eboots are made from older game version so beware. But other than that, nothing, the code is altered and execute from the same "offset" locations within the EBOOT. I suppose you code say it might have been badly done but you wouldn't be able to tell this without breaking down the EBOOT to make sure the patch has been "applied" in the correct place.

If your going to play online on COD then your going to need one, plus , i would say one that contains "Probation Bypass" as well, you may not get banned from PSN but the server host for the game such as Ac1ivision will ban your account from the BO1 + 2 servers fairly quickly if your going to be a "serial modder" in public matches and even more in league matches lol. Also make sure the EBOOT is for you region of the game.

Which game/s you looking for anti-ban eboots for?

MW2 MW3 cod black ops 1 (but other fps like killzone3 is ok as-is?) do you have eboots?
also wondering if im gaming outa canada; are the BLUS file prefixes the default?
not planning to mod anything at this point in time, id be doing alot more research if that time came but i like to get better at a game before implementing any mods lol (maybe test the waters online after that, much before wanting to mod stufs)

do you know how to install files for devblind.rar? does a devblind folder exist?= (to make pretty waves and stuf?)
i have a custom violet wave in a line.qrc file id like to replace the stock one with... i unpacked one rar and it created a folder vsh->resource->qgl->lines.qrc with it but dont wanna drop it where it dosent need to be if im not sure~ ? (can ps3 unpack a .rar file? )

If your not going to mod you should be fine without anti-ban eboots. I would check the BLUS codes just to be sure.

I can tell you how to install the waves using MultiMAN.

1. Put your lines.qrc file onto a usb stick and put the usb in your ps3 (doesn't matter which one for this) The open MultiMAN.

2. Once in MultiMAN find the "Settings" column ans scroll all the way down till you find "Write Access to /dev_fash" and select enable.

3. The go to the mmCM/MultiMAN column and select "File Manager/mmOS" end select it. You should now be on a creen that looks like a Windows Desktop. Use the analogue sticks to control the arrow.

3. Move the arrow over the "PS3 Root" folder. it should be in the top left hand corner of the screen. and double tap x to open and a window should appear. Use the left analogue stick to move the window about.

4. First open the usb you have, should be either "dev_usb000" or dev_usb001" (unless you have a multi USB adaptor attached to your PS3) find your "lines.qrc" file press "o" on it then highlight "copy" using the d-pad and press "x". You should get a little message saying "copied to clipboard". Now you can close the window with the x in the top right or leave it open.

5. Open "PS3 Root" again and you should see "dev_blind" open this for a new window. then open the folders in this order as they appear - vsh/ resource/ qgl, you should now see a file in this folder called "lines.qrc" this is where it is stored in the flash memory.
Hover the arrow over the file and press "o" then "paste". You should get a message saying "do you want to overwrite the file" and say yes.

6. Now you need to restart the PS3 by going down to the little button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen that would be where the "Start menu" on the windows task bar would be. Press x on it then select "restart system" to restart your PS3.

When your PS3 restarts your new waves should be active. Also as a general rule always restart your PS3 after modifying the flash files.

You may also want to give this a look for quick and easy xmb mods with this faf on as its 1 click install from the XMB for them all.

Some of them are quite good.

it shouldn't freeze or crash. odd times the custom waves might behave in an odd way, disappear above the screen, below and to the sides. but this is because people have messed about too much with the anchors points that tell it how high and low it can float. but a wave that's crashing the PS3 isn't good at all. either it's been partially corrupted somehow or something has been altered too much in the wave.

If it keeps crashing your PS3 try using the waves in the link I posted, they all work fine on the xmb extras collection iso.

well its not so much the lines that were bugging but multiman copy window was being buggy as soon as it replaced a file, it worked fine aftr restart though all the lines i tried were good too, amd i chose a nice ultra violet one in the end~

is there a way to install 50themes directly somewhere at once so i dont have to manually do each one from xmb/usb and i can just choose directly which to switch to from xmb menu?
edit: figured it out hdd0/themes

is there a way to get my themes listed under background so i can interchange themes menus and themes backgrounds with eachother? (or is this wishful thinking lol)

1. When you change the idps, the only games that will no longer work while the spoof is on are the licensed PSN pkg games you installed.
However on CFW, it's possible to reinject the license with the spoofed idps if need be.

2. It takes nothing in particular to install a dual boot fw, only to be on CFW. DB fw is basically ofw with minimal patching to keep jailbreak & be able to reinstall cfw from XMB.

3. You can extract an idps from a dead console using a hardware flasher, unless the console can still run for a few minutes at a time without shutting down..

4. Find out about the psnpatch plugin. Plenty of documentation to be read out there including in the release files themselves. The plugin loads at boot time & gets triggered by a gamepad combo, the same combo as wMM unload actually. On trigger, it prepares the cfw for PSN connection. The idps spoof can be applied on boot or on plugin trigger, up to you to choose which in the psnpatch Cobra Toolbox when you install the plugin. The config file to insert the idps is called psnpatch.cfg & can be edited in the psnpatch directory.
Once PSNPatch has been triggered, custom syscalls are disabled among with a few other features until reboot. You should not try to mount other games or launch a homebrew or any CFW features after triggering PSNPatch & until reboot.
if youre extracting an idp frm dead consoles to use does it need to be an exact model like the one its planning to be used on?

if you mean listing them, I think it's PS3/THEME/either ,p3t or edat (even several of them). make sure you're below either 100 or 256. there's a liimit on how many be installed, yet games/content seems to have no limit. lol it will warn you if you''ve hit the limit.

if youre extracting an idp frm dead consoles to use does). it need to be an exact model like the one its planning to be used on?

if you're using a different make/model, the minverchk will show differently.. don't know if sony cares or can scan it.
