Nintendo amiibo Talk

same here the reason i got one is because i do own them. and at first thought they were like Disney and Skylanders being able to be read from in the pack . so i was like sweet i can keep them in the box :p

then ya to find out you cant i was like argh .. but this Fixed the issue. i have a few Amiibos out of box though. ( i have them in box to ;)

Digby, isable (Winter), Peach (Smash), Charizard, Luigi (Smash), Link - they were all bent box or ones that came with game and no box. :(
 
yeah, it's an exception since there's no way to get the amiibo data otherwise. there's no way I'm opening up the boxes.

I've had some damaged boxes, and almost all involved amazon. my friend encountered the same problem with amazon. best buy seems to have their shit together though. I've not had a damaged box from them.

there's something cheap about Nintendo changing the color of an amiibo, then selling it as a different amiibo. at least Isabelle has a different pose for each outfit I suppose, but I think the new colors for the inkling boy and girl use the same amiibos they had originally.
 
the new splatoon amiibos come out tomorrow. I'm going to pick them up at best buy. :) thus far, I have over eight boxes of amiibos. :p

not sure how many amiibos each box has. I need to make some shelves to display my amiibos. how many new splatoon amiibos r there? I have 3 preordered: inkling boy and girl as well as inkling girl. squid, boy, and a new amiibo callie and marie.
 
i have the 2 set of Callie and marie

and the 3 pack for the new Spatoon colors .
i did not grab them in single form..

so there is only 5 new amiibos but 2 packs .
 
I picked up mine this morning. I also got the inkling boy and girl singles. amiibos = the beanie babies for grown men. :p

That does not sound good. I thought Nintendo finally figured out the correct supply/demand ratio for North America. I suppose I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a chance to pre-order the Bayonetta amiibo.
 
@pinky @Skiller BestBuy has some new amiibo available for preorder as well as some old ones. They have like 5 or 6 re-releases they are doing for hard to find amiibo which are gonna be released in couple of weeks, and they are also taking pre-orders for a few Zelda amiibo too.

I think I might get those Zelda ones too... but I have already pre-ordered Lucina from BestBuy, the one I was missing from my collection. Perhaps I should pick up another Samus too... perhaps not though... one should be enough even if it's opened.

Yeah there is something cheap about any Limited edition stuff that's just a different colour plastic. Ive worked in plastics injection moulding and plastics materials handling for years, and there is nothing to it, just clean out the machine with some natural polypropylene/polyethylene (often use these as they are cheapest), mix up a batch of plastic in a different colour (normally like 1% to 2% dye granules), Sometimes different colours require slightly different settings due to effecting the viscosity , then off you go, "limited edition" items that you can charge more money for..its too easy.

I would love to get into the Sony/Nintendo injection moulding plants at night (even though im sure they run 24/7), Id make some real limited edition stuff, one-off pieces! :)

@Skiller They still have the DK and Diddy available here in the US from BestBuy. I would not have any problems ordering them for you and then shipping them to you once I receive them. All I would ask is money to cover my expense, (the amiibo and the shipping). Same goes for the Zelda amiibo. All 4 are still available at US BestBuy.

Now for everyone else...Looks like there is a new Yoshi's World amiibo due out in February, and also some new Animal Crossing Card amiibo coming out in the beginning of December.

Best Buy has shipped the Mario series amiibos. :-D

I love Poochy! though, he's caused me to die several times. I especially hate that one special level in Yoshi's Island with Poochy and all that fire = instant death when Poochy charges. I got 100% in that game as well as 100% in wooly world (love that game!). :-D
