there are devices that can read/write nfc, amiibo files, so that you don't have to open them. you can spoof say link, and the system will think that you're using a link amiibo. these devices can store around 200 amiibos too. lol there are also nfc tags. which cost like twenty-five cents apiece. to store amiibos on.
 
i finally have the full collection for the NA side . i also picked up the rare 4 Pack Zelda BOW as well :)
just waiting for my Detective to come in :) and then ya more new ones
 
damn. I must be missing 10+ thus far. I need to get my amiibos out to see which ones I have. there's an app that allows you to checkmark the ones that you have in a convenient list on your pc. I'm sure it's regularly updated when new amiibos are released. I haven't used the app personally though, but I might when I look over my amiibox.

I did not even notice that little bend at the top of the BotW pack until you mentioned something. That's not bad at all.

BTW (@pinky too) looks like Nintendo has been tweeting some amiibo stuffz recently. Solaire and a new Inkling Pack are all I have seen so far. I might need to get my hands on that Solaire one... I wonder if he will be in Smash Bros!!!
 
I pre-ordered the shovel knight pack on Amazon.com since.the Canadian site don't have it.. I seen the ink sisters on bestbuy.com but not CA or on Amazon :(

I wouldn't trust Amazon with amiibos. I've had like five or six arrive with the boxes damaged. one time they even bent the boxes of two amiibos in order to fit them in a box that could barely hold one.

I've had a few others arrive with creases. one was from an ebay auction. I complained to paypal and the guy offered me about $30 of the $50 I paid, but I wanted a full refund. unfortunately, the seller won the dispute for some reason. I still own that pos amiibo. maybe I should just open the ones I have duplicates of?
 
@tthousand , @Skiller , the Mega Man 11 amiibo is exclusive to gamestop in the US, perhaps Canada too for you Skiller.

btw, tthousand, did you hear that the gcu program is ending? no renewals, no new accounts. once your subscription ends, it's over. I recently renewed my subscription back in February, so I'm good 'til 2020. :D

gamer's club unlimited. the program is ending after your card expires. I think you told me about it actually. .that's how I've been buying my amiibos for $10, but when they have exclusives at gamestop...

I didn't even know there was a dark souls amiibo. it's difficult to keep on top of these amiibo releases.

I've been buying switch games for 20% off too. better buy as many games as possible before your card expires.
 
Thanks for the heads up @pinky. I get most of my games there now. Hopefully I still have time to renew once more... but from the the sounds of your previous post, I suppose not :(

I don't think you can.

I'm not sure why they're ending the program. maybe they were losing too much money since that 20% off was for any system. I'll still be buying from best buy though. they definitely package things the right way unlike amazon. and, I hate gamestop. the only issue I have with best buy is the giant sticker that they put on things for in-store pickup. sometimes you have to use lighter fluid to get the sticky off. ;)
 
mega man 11 amiibo out tomorrow. something odd happened. I ordered the amiibo edition from gamestop a month or two ago. however, when I looked up my account (all emails that I have), there was no record of it. I even tried guest checkout. still no record. I then searched my emails for gamestop or mega man 11. nope, no record. however, today, I got an email from gamestop saying that the game had shipped. I had preordered it from best buy after this whole mess. I've since cancelled that purchase. wtf, gamestop!?

edit: btw, the amiibo edition is like $100+ on ebay.
 
it looks like new amiibos were released yesterday: smash inkling girl, a 3 pack of splatoon, wolf, and ridley. I only managed to gte the three pack and ridley. I wish I knew how other people found out about amiibo releases. I have a friend who uses this one site to track down amiibos, at least when they're in stock, but preordering them as well?
 
i tend to just use the lineup on amiibo website . .
but yes knowing exact released dates is pain ..
i did though get all the new ones preordered .
but they are on different sites .

there are more coming this month .

thanks, man! it looks like they've already sold out of those, so just made an account on nowinstock.net . that's the website a friend told me about. I really don't know how else any knows the street dates for this stuff.
