PS3 No audio and black screen when booting games up

Hi, my PS3 doesn't play audio in the xmb no matter what audio option I turn and when I try to boot up a game all I see is a black screen with no sound. I already tried formatting to a new hard drive with the latest firmware but it didn't work. Even the PS Store only shows up a black screen. Any idea what the problem might be?
My PS3 is a CECH-20xx from around 2010 and is unmodded.

Been having the exact same issue on the exact same model range. Although I'm running with a noBD CFW because my disk drive recently stopped working. Can't open or play anything. But strangely, I can load things up occasionally without any issues, then it resets back to being a complete brick.
Occasionally a database reset works for me but isn't a full fix? Looking for ways to fix this aswell.

noBD FW is known to break game and other homebrew to run or even launch properly.

It's meant to be used only to circumvent the broken BD drive/daughter board boot loop, not for normal use.
