PS3 No HDMI output

Hello,

I have a Fat PS3 with the VER-001 motherboard. I get no HDMI output, not black screen, just no signal at all. When connected via MULTIVAV, I get good display and can launch and play games normally. Yes I could try source component AV cable but I'd prefer to fix it.

I have checked with a cut HDMI cable for continuity between wire and solder pads behind HDMI port. I also checked between port solder pads and HDMI encoder chip and there's continuity everywhere. That led me to believe that the HDMI encoder chip is off. My console came with the MN864709 chip but because I couldn't find it anywhere I replaced it with the MN8647091 (which was found on PS3 slim and super slim).

Needless to say since I'm here, it still doesn't work. Are these two not compatible or does my issue lie elsewhere?

My dad and I used to play back in the day and I'd like to surprise him and play together again. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
