Why would you even consider doing that?

because i recently bought used ps3 that already has cfw 4.6 and i decided to update to 4.88 without knowing is ps3 has working bd or not, i just installed nobd/nobt evilnat. but some time later when i tried to use license disc, ps3 couldn't read it. now i am wondering whether it is because of already not working bd or it is because of cfw.

If you didn't know about the state of the BD, you should first have tried a regular pup file and resort to trying a nobd firmware only after getting confirmation of a malfunction (installation failure error code).

FYI a nobd/nobt pup file is only used when regular pup files always fail to install because of both WiFi and BD hardware malfunctions.

Anyway, if you installed a nobd/nobt firmware, the parts of the firmware related to BD/BT have not been installed so I assume they must still be 4.6x (which may or not explain your issues).
You should go to recovery mode and install the regular evilnat 4.88.2. If the pup installation fails report the error code.

ok, i will try. thank you for answer

Try copy via mmcm , i'm never use irisman [emoji16]
Funny because I will use Irisman's file manager (or Managunz's) over mmOS every time given a choice.

Anyway at this point, without any details about the copy operation, the device or the file, it's hard to help. We would also need to know whether this error is happening on the OP's nobd/nobt fw.

how can I fix this error 0xffffffff?

First we need to know from what path to what path and what file.
Have you tried a different USB device? Does it happen copying any file from USB to HDD?
Have you tried copying from other devices to HDD? e.g. from dev_bdvd or dev_flash to dev_hdd0.

You should also test using a different File Manager, like ManaGunZ or mmCM.

You keep asking the same thing in different ways but always in one-liners when it's quite obvious we cannot answer the question without more information from you.

As things stand it could be caused by many things, a USB device issue, a fat32 or NTFS file system issue, a folder/file permission issue, an internal HDD issue, a file corruption issue, a file manager issue, a firmware issue etc etc..

My usb devkce was ntfs
I use all kind file manager, mmcm, megagunz, irisman but still same problem
webman mod manual can able 80%?

So the problem is not Irisman.

Can you provide details about the USB device? Is it a USB stick or an external USB HDD/SSD? How big is the NTFS partition?

Does this problem happen with just one specific file or with all files on the NTFS partition?

1. If it happens with one specific file, what type of file is it? How big is it?

2. If it happens with every file you try to copy from the NTFS partition, it would be helpful to test with another USB device, preferably a USB stick and report.

I already answered you about wMM fan control in another thread (wMM & ps3netsrv questions thread) in reply to your query there.

Are you still on a patched firmware? This is the code I got while pairing a new drive with a 2101 model when I tried to use the drive before installing an unpatched CFW.

What is your exact USB device you are using? MBR or GPT? Cluster size can play a part with larger HDD's from my experience.

With the info you have provided so far it could be a ton of things like everyone else is saying. Hard to diagnose a problem when you don't have all of the information needed.
