not able to play ps2 game on ps3 4.87HEN ( CECH2004B)

Hey,

I have a jb ps3, works very well with HEN for ps1 and ps3 games.
Bud PS2 games are not working.
I coppied them in to my ps3, so far so good, bud the games will not running.

ERROR = this version of ps3 is not compatable with this software ..

Any help for this?

If your PS3 is with HEN, you will need to encrypt the PS2 ISO.

your ps3 can use CFW. you do not need HEN.

use bgtoolset to jailbreak. after CFW is installed you can use ps2 iso instead of pkg/bin.enc

HEN is not a jailbreak. it is a Homebrew ENabler.

So, about what you said... i need to go back to OFW first and JB my PS3 again with CFW ?
Or can i use directly the "bgtoolset" you talking about ?
I'm on 4.87 so can i do it ?

If so, is there any good tutorial to help me ?
Kids really like to play old PS2 games.

Just access ** www.** ** www.ps3xploit.net > D... (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com)/bgtoolset/ from your PS3 and you will be able to patch it to install CFW. After patch, download Evilnat 4.87 CFW and install it from recovery.

/dev_hdd0/PS2ISO

Some backup managers like webMAN MOD let you list the game from external HDD, but anyway the ISO is always copied to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO when you mount the game


Each game type have a specific folder name:
/PS3ISO <= PS3 games in ISO format
/PS2ISO <= PS2 games in ISO format (only works from internal HDD)
/PSXISO <= PS1 games in ISO format
/PSPISO <= PSP games in ISO format (requires to have the PSP Launcher installed)
/GAMES <= PS3 games in folder format

Compatibility of PS2 emulator is not very good. You can improve it using CONFIG files.

This is a database of CONFIG available for PS3

You just need to copy the CONFIG with the same name of the ISO + .CONFIG. Example: my game.iso.CONFIG

webMAN MOD has a PKG that auto installs the CONFIG when a PS2 ISO is mounted.
