PS3 NTFS EX-HDD setup

I'm currently running in to problems setting up my external (NTFS) hdd so I can install pkgs from there
Every time I follow all the steps and my ps3 fails to find / read the hdd and find the pkgs.
I formatted it to NTFS and MBR . If any one could help . I would greatly appreciated it. Thank you

I've tried this multiple times still no luck
