PS3 [OFFICIAL] REBUG REX 4.65 + COBRA 7.02 + HABIB & JOONIE Join Team REBUG

Huge news as we finally have seen a new OFFICIAL REBUG CFW RELEASE. This release came with some help in two new REBUG CFW developer's to join the REBUG family in Habib and Joonie. Who have been doing outstanding work on their own, now together with REBUG and the talent from rebug and the sources and tools they provide. This is great news for the CFW development[break].[/break] community if this teams works together for future progression of REBUG CFW. Two builds have been released by Team REBUG. A Standard REX for CEX user's and also a D-REX version for DEX user's. Cobra 7.0.2 has been added which many improvements to COBRA. webMAN Mod has been added along with the latest v2.02.01 of REBUG Toolbox included plus much more you seen see in the release notes included below.

REBUG Package Manager

Package Manager is a replacement for the standard Install Package Files option under Game in the XMB. It allows for the install and deletion of .pkg files from dev_hdd0/packages, dev_usb/packages and the standard Install Package Files locations. In addition to this, your downloaded PSN content 'bubbles' will appear under this option instead of cluttering your Game menu with uninstalled content. ​ USAGE: Navigate to Game in your XMB and click on Package Manager (It will be where Install Package Files usually is). You will find three options. PlayStation®Network Content Manage your downloaded PlayStation®Network Content. Install Package Files INSTALL package files from Storage Devices and your PS3. PS3 Hard Disk (dev_hdd0/packages) Package Folder (dev_usb/packages) Standard Package Location (Standard Install Package Files locations) NOTE: The Install All Packages is only available by pressing the TRIANGLE button when the Standard Package Location option is highlighted because the PS3 will only install ALL packages from the root of a storage device as of the moment. Delete Package Files DELETE package files from Storage Devices and your PS3. In webman setup, if one or more of the "scan for content" option is unchecked, it will disable XML refresh. At startup as well as from the setup page. No yellow led blink. So new added backups are not displayed.

hum , thanks STLcardsWS , i send question for rebug,I also asked why i was on rebug rex "dex" and update ps3ita dex and needed to change some things in the toolbox rebug. . normal retail, cex qa .. Kernel ~~~Target to update , dex-dex for not brick

I just got around to installing, Working great and very nice release. One hell of a REBUG release

 

Just stay with ps2classic iso files, you won't have wireless bug nor menu bugs on BC.

I had a different issue, but that issue was caused by the same reason, "scan for content".

my issue was not generating fb.xml back after it's deleted when "scan for content" doesn't have full check.

The solution was to delete wmconfig.bin

I haven't been on that site for awhile, and I was just trying to explain the situation, did not mean to bash anybody.

D-REX is for DEX and CEX converted to DEX. When your CEX and swap kernels to DEX mode it is essentially D-REX. So if you are CEX based REX if your DEX or converted to DEX use D-REX.

yeah, i like all the little improvements. like, you can push triangle on a game and select check for game updates now. i find that nicer than booting a game up you haven't played in a while and then having it quit and then start again after the updates.

i'll have to check out those photo changes.


i'm not noticing photo view improvements...that's okay.
so, i finally got around to testing out the ps move wheel, still not working on cobra firmwares.

 

OK just tested I was in DEX mode with joonies 4.46 Cobra REX, installed 4.65 D-REX directly trouble free. I then installed PS3ita 4.50 Cobra DEX and went to 4.65 Rebug D-REX trouble free on my CECH-25001 DEX convert no problems. So yes this can easily be installed on any DEX convert or test models. Still going back to 4.46 Cobra REX and hoping it can be officially updated by Rebug team.

webMAN Fan Control: I have been seeing this issue across various forums and the fix is so easy.

Problem: When you run webMAN for first time and the FAN is loud.

Solution: Disable Dynamic Fan control in webMAN setup, Save.
Re-Enable Save. Then the fan will act according to your settings.

Some are just disabling and not using it, but if they re-enable it they would have no issues. .

oh, for like the perfect firmware that supports ps2 iso and stuff. makes sense.

does anyone know a spinning icon fix? i went back to rogero/cobra 4.46 just cause it is pretty perfect and doesn't reset my media sharing settings. now, the webman settings, ps3 games, ps2 games, etc. are spinning icons. the game covers load fine except for like games i just added (i'm assuming i need to go into mm and get covers for those).

Disable webman cover in webman setting

If you have spinning icon when pressing ps button, install showtime to fix

it's just the icons under "My Games", not icons in general. Most covers load fine except for recently added games, which i don't mind. So not like ps3 games in general, but the icon under My Games called PS3 games.
