PS3 Official Update v4.90 is Live! Official CFW/HFW Released!

Sorry for writing here (and my bad english), but I don't know where should I ask. I was trying to bypass the update with given file, but I accidentally updated to 4.90. Right now when i switch on my console it stays on for a few seconds, then turning off and the message about updating to 4.90 or higher with external storage appears. I tried to repair this using pendrive with update file, but the console doesn't read it, so i'm totally blocked from using it right now, Does anyone knows how to repair this without making a factory reset?

there's a really good reason for the message that says "don´t turn off your console until the update finishes" be there

Make sure your flash drive is formated in FAT32 in a MBR partition.

The update must be on /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
 
I have no idea whats going on. But I saw all the developers and their respective softwares they developed on first post and cant imagine amount of time and work they put out on these. I would like to say thanks to all of you for your hard work without expecting any financial gains. I am currently unemployed thus I cant donate but I want to make sure u guys know... Millions of people like me praying to you guys for making their lives more enjoyable.

It was indeed problem with my flash drive. It was formatted correctly, but for some reason it was deleting all data from ps3 folder everytime I was unplugging it from my pc (I don't understand why, but that doesn't matter I guess). I used another one, and finally I see some other message, this time about corrupted data (8002F2C5). Is there anything I can do with that?

Check your download again and make sure your flash drive is not corrupting the data.
 
Well, i tried plugging it in second time with the same result, but then I thought "three times a charm" and did it once again. Somehow it worked. Thank you very much!

I should add — if we want to play online without HEN active. In order to have the least likely chance of a ban, as we know, it's recommended to use HEN only when the system is not connected to online services. I personally feel that no one should be playing online with HEN or a CFW active, especially not until we know what this entire update entails.
