Also I've worked out like to install say retroarch I'm having to connect to it from the ps browser. If I copy it from the pc to the usb then try installing it I get a error

If I were you, I would first get familiar with CFW basics such as backup managers (Managunz/Irisman/sMan etc...) & iso games, external drives to store them...
Psnpatch too if you intend to connect to PSN at some point.

Regarding RetroArch, you should look for dedicated threads & do some reading.

You will never get any help with piracy from anyone in this forum. Moreover, the stores you mentioned provide pkg files of pirated games resigned for HAN, HAN pkg files are the last thing you should be using on CFW even if they were legit tbph, you should favour iso files & unpatched/unresigned PSN games pkg.
 
Piracy I never said any thing about that. I`ve two ps3`s one which I`ve spent a shed load of cash on , and this other one running cfw. Sorry if I`ve broken any rules.

I ran into a issue today. Try to cheat by connecting the ps he to pc to move my data. Win didn't like the drive. Put it back in the station. Oh dear. It don't like it.

So I've format the drive again installed 4.82 twice try to patch the nor. Keep getting failed. Is there a thing of once you've done it on that drive. You need to replace the drive or have I missed some thing. Many thanks
