PS3 OH NO!!! not another 8002F1F9 thread XD

somebody help me before i take my shotgun to this thing. it is a super slim console i got on trade for doing some work for someone. originally, the console would turn on for a little while then it would shut off, no ylod or anything. its like the power would just get cut from it completely. well, i figured out i could jiggle the power cord and plug and unplug it just right and it would get it back to booting. i did this a few times and then to my surprise the console stayed on without turning off any more.

WELL, and let me put an emphasis on that WWWEEEELLLLLLLLL.... its been a long time since i did anything related to jailbreaking or hardware diagnostics on a ps3, and the first thing i thought was "oh i should reinstall OFW just in case!" LOL (why tf would i have even thought that lol) and so i did. and after it copied the data, it rebooted and got to around 46% and threw the error 8002F1F9. immediately took out the hdd and put in another known good one. formatted it in the ps3 and reapplied the update. and it was still error 8002F1F9. and now, as i sit there looking at the screen, it makes perfect sense. i noticed the controller was having a hard time pairing, even with the usb attached. but it is a crappy 3rd party controller so i didnt think anything of it. i never tried wifi because i use wired connections anytime they are available.

so now, what i am asking is... what can i do to try and eliminate probable causes for this? i have the console torn to pieces, and its right beside the trash can, all i need is the go ahead and its done XD but seriously i would like to get this thing back going because i originally was going to give it to my neice and nephews. i know my sister needs some relaxation time and its hard to do with 4 kids, and hopefully this console can bring her some much needed relief. i have a multimeter and an oven but thats it. my rework station took a dump 5 or 6 years ago and i havent spent much time working on consoles because or personal issues.

but i see the bt/wifi module right there, and next to it (looking at it from the front of the console) is some smd caps and a little black chip. i will take some pictures tomorrow... but i suspect that maybe there is some voltage regulators right here somewhere that have possibly shorted out. originally the controllers synced fine, but the console would just turn off completely. now it doesnt turn off but its stuck in an infinite loop of 8002F1F9 HELL LOL.

is there any good posts with detailed pictures and expected values? iu would love to get this thing back going and any help sure would be very much appreciated!

If is 3xxx model is Wi-Fi ic module replace required and check 3v3 or 1v8 lines for it in stb mode. Usually 3xxx /4xxx have this issue with vregs when units passed over normal temperatures or not new thermal paste.
If you manage to open and have multimeter test it in stb with only 5v5 4 pins connected to motherboard, no 12v needed. I'll add yt video were me and Computer Booter we fixed one 4xxx I think.

Same parts and schematics are in 3xxx models

I arrived a little late LOL, but if you are a bit lucky your Bluetooth/Wifi chip is just without 1.8V or 3.3v power, replace the regulators with new ones of the same voltage and the problem should be solved.
if you are unlucky and the module is burned, just replacing it will solve your problem, and the voltage regulators must be changed together, otherwise the module will burn again

the 1.8v regulator is usually replaced by an AMS1117 1.8v like this one:

I have never seen the 3.3v regulator changed together but I always recommend changing it together, it's not worth risking the module because of a $1.00 regulator

3.3v regulator I recommend:
