PS2 [Open PS2 Loader] Game Bug Reports

@jolek XenoSaga is working now tru SMB, i dont know if the change was made recently or not but thank you very much, it is still crash after the second intro video but, the game is now playable at version opl 1562, sorry for not answer, but i have a lot of work, i will continue to report if anything happens with xenosaga or another game, also thank you @El_Patas for supporting me with my the popstarter issues.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht is a DVD-9 game:
http://redump.org/disc/365/.
Recently in rev1553 (Use lseek64 instead of lseek) support for these (DVD-9) games was fixed.

Anyway, does this problem after 2nd cut-scene also exist in older rev (e.g. 0.9.2)?

I mean, actually I have normally formatted HDD to LBA48 (using the newest wLE), and from HDD it always hangs at logo, not sure about SMB and USB (didn't try). OPL 1562. My Rayman M version is:
Code:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLES_504.57;1
VER = 2.00
VMODE = PAL

This is my MD5sum xD:

But seriously, md5 is: BAF8F1C04D099B74CA668DD13A10C423

If you look at redump... your md5sum should be:
"d6a335c4ce074a953e9070d960faf1ab".
Not:
"BAF8F1C04D099B74CA668DD13A10C423"

So... your disc may be scratched...
What tool\app did you use to make ISO?

I used SP193's tool called HDL Game Installer, disc is as new, I used imgburn and now I have md5: d6a335c4ce074a953e9070d960faf1ab.

There are 3 options.

- Your PS2 have a problem with reading this disc while you make an image.
Because you make an ISO from a disc using HDLGameInstaller.
But theoretically if something will be wrong at the end of this process you should get an error.

- Something is not right with your PS2 HDD

- Something is not right with HDLGameInstaller.

Try this game as I suggested earlier through other devices.

Did you try it from HDD? With older OPL works, other games work perfectly tho.

I dunno, all DVD games (even GoWs) work well, CD too but not important right now.

I doubt, other games wouldn't work, not to point out POPStarter is sensitive to HDDs.

I dunno, I can't comment this one.

Works with SMB but it is not the point of issue.

Now that you extracted the ISO with imgburn and got the right MD5, try installing it on internal HDD with HDL dump for testing.

It still doesn't work. Older OPL runs it with no modes.

I have try two games with OPL 1562 through HDD & SMB:
Both of these games has got size less than 1 GiB.
I did not need to add any additional file to enlarge the file size to be more than 1 GiB.
Both of these games run fine through HDD & SMB.

Here are some photos from Rayman M launched through HDD:

I installed both games through network with HDLGameInstaller 0.821 (09\12\2018).
I also selected Disc type: "DVD" because on this media these games were released:

@HWNJ had the same issue like mine, thanks for testing @jolek. :) I added trash file (from HWNJ's patcher created for me) so ISO's weight grow to over 124MB and works for me as well, now. Installed as you did, jolek. ;)

You are using genuine NA?
Genuine NA with SATA modification or 3rd party (e.g. GameStar)?
If you have any modification can you try "clean" NA (without any modification)?

You installed this game from DVD on a PS2
or through network?

All my tests were done with genuine NA.

I have 4 original NA, one has black SATA controller, on all 4 with OPL 1562 I have the same issue with vanila (redump verified) ISO.

Did you ever extend +OPL partition?
If yes try to delete it, make it once again or let OPL to create it when you launch it.

Do you have HDDOSD on your HDD?
Maybe it conflicts in some way...

I don't know why everything is fine in your setup through ETH, but not through HDD.
While in my config everything is fine through HDD & ETH.

Well, +OPL was created and never extended (why? 128MB is too much for all stuff).

Not on all ps2s, this one (now used) doesn't have HDDOSD or even FHHDB.

Again, modified ISO to weight more than 1024MB works just fine from HDD. :D

Again... ISO doesn't need additional weight to launch and play fine from HDD...

If few more people can test this game we can at least see how it works in other configs.
Currently I cannot add this game into 1st post because in my config everything is fine.
