Here's a new OPL version KrahJohlito and I have been working on for some time. It features background music support which can be streamed from ADPCM sources inside the themes (file must be named bgm.adpcm). FLAC files as bgm.flac also works, but the file must be sized bellow 8MB since FLAC files are read to memory instead of being streamed. File order priority is bgm.adpcm and then, bgm.flac. If bgm.adpcm exists bgm.flac will not be read.

To create your ADPCM files, use this:

Rename from .adp to .adpcm after the conversion is done.

The default theme also includes a background music, so be sure to rise up the volume before launching this new OPL so you can enjoy it at full galore!

PS: It does not works on emulators due to the clock speed not being exact, but we plan to fix it in future releases.

Damn are the Audio Settings on OPL 1.2 trolling me with the Default Theme Music option or what my dude. I give up for now cause nothing works .ogg or .mp3 whether it's on the hdd0:/+OPL somewhere or off mc1:/OPL maybe because the file size or something along the lines of the joke you made..


Is this feature a dead end? For reference the file is around 10mb and was tested working in both formats on pc


Transferred with a fat32 USB via uLE ISR hdd

When the path was shown then I took a photo and copied it exact to the file on OPL, then path with the file name included, then added the extension, then added a / after and nothing played when I refreshed OPL or ran it again with the settings saved each time

Does anybody remember when BGM support for OPL was actually added?

I only found this in changelog:
