Hello,
I have some trouble with one specific game on my SSD:
SLES_523.25.Champions of Norrath
I am running OPL and HDD-OSD from the internal HDD of a SCPH-39004 with a 3rd party "Network" Sata adapter without actual network support.
It's a DL / DVD9 game that boots into a white screen in all tested cases (different OPL versions and HDD-OSD)
I've already verified the SHA-1 against redump and my image is fine.
What makes me curious is that the same image works on a regular HDD, just not on the SSD.
Looking at the information from HDLBInst I can see the image on the SSD is a single part, while that on the HDD is split into 7 parts. Both using dma mode *u4
Just for refenced I got my hands on the SLUS version of the game to try with that and in contrast to the SLES version it works fine from the SSD. I'd rather play my own PAL version though, so I am looking for a solution.
In the past I've stumbled upon a discussion about differences between storage devices, something about their hardware blocksize? But I could not find it anymore.
Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it for the SSD?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
