I am using a custom BGM made myself and point the directory of it on audio settings. It's the same i used on default theme and there it works normally thou. The only difference is the default opl theme doesn't read hdd0 directory audio files, I don't know why, but your theme does...

Is it the included BGM causing the issue? Is it your bgm causing the issue?
Starting to sound more like an OPL hdd related shut down problem with bgm.
You could put the theme folder in mc?:/OPL/ and load the theme from there to see.
If it's not the included audio, I can't do much about that. This theme does push the limits.

As for main OPL not using BGM from HDD - this should be solvable by setting hdd to auto and bgm path set as pfs0:/bgm.ogg
pfs0:/ is the root of the +OPL partition.

Hmm. Such a low resolutio

It is standard NTSC resolution. 640x448 in NTSC, 640x512 in PAL, 640x480 in VGA.

The internal theme does not read the BGM, because the path it is started from is not HDD.
Same theme as external files/folder would probably work fine.

I would try with BGM off to see if it makes any difference.
Beyond that, I'll have to wait for some input on what I could change to lighten the load - assuming thats the issue

im gonna see if popstarter works with bgm off

edit: it works actually.. bgm blocks popstarter

Added new categories:

• fav.png (Favourites, used in uOPL)
• hdd_bd.png (exFAT HDD in BDM driver)
• mmce.png (MMCE, used in OPL MMCE beta3)
• udp_bd.png (UDPBD, replace old)
• udp_bd_alt.png (like above but purple-violet instead crimson red)
