@akilluminati47 hey I'm enjoying ALL of your hard work and I appreciate everything you do to make my PS2 (OPL) alive again!
I don't want to sound crazy or anything but is there anyway to remove the BG picture from the main menu while selecting games? and just keeping the BG picture just for [ ] info? I'm just curious. Also, the disc icon on my TV looks huge is there a way to make them default 64x64?

Love this theme! Do you know if it's possible to add background music to it? I've been trying to add the sounds from the OG home menu to OPL while using this theme but I can't seem to get it to work.

Ahh, bgm testing I forget but iirc the theme would stutter. Now there are updates to the art database I use to correct bg images from .jpg to 8bit .png which will help all ps2 themes load better and use less VRAM (potentially allowing smooth bgm playback)

To add your custom sound first convert it to 441khz stereo .ogg audio file and title it bgm(.ogg now that its converted) drop the bgm.ogg file you made into the thm_Master/sound folder

Enable background music in opl and do not set a path

Try master basic if the bg art causes the audio to glitch. Also 1080i mode somehow allows bgm to play on heavy themes better too

Your welcome!! Reasonable request, here is your change and I replaced the [SELECT] (and start button) which removed flicker- for gamers using a CRT

oh thank you, i apreciate you time and work, it looks so nice I loved it, but for some reason when I start the games, they dont run, I tried with other themes and it only happens with yours, what can I do? also i tried white another Opl versions (specifically 1.2.0 r2022, 2048 and 2049)and it is the same, the games run normally in each version with another themes except whit yours. So i cant use the theme, what could i do?

I am not sure how your testing this. So only three things were altered on the theme. Tested myself just now choosing different games- 100% working

-The case color

-The plasma color

-The start and select icons

Something is wrong with your opl settings try turning off pademu individually on the game(s) that wont launch for you.

Compatibility for this theme is official OPL

Try this optimized version, I went over this last night with a buddy on discord and he found the .png images were 32bit color depth, so I have reduced them to 8bit color depth

Again, my PS2 had no issues but this is for less VRAM usage- same quality

Yeah that Metalciaf version of the theme was pretty good inspiration, on a CRT the side icons would be pretty dodgy fme. So things had to change for the better I'd say. Some places you see it when the consoles for sale, to advertise

In a nutshell Megamix/Mastermix+ displays your games simply, so I changed the atmosphere some to MiXXL with the Hi-Res disc art !

EDIT: Current (and future)OPL Manager v23 database is optimized for the PS2 in (8bit).png format! v24 is testing 128x128 disc art and the ntsc-hi-res-8-bit pack linked above was introduced since the 64x64 size of the pack went over well. So if v23 is what you use then go ahead and overwrite with the files from the purple download link above

Hey Akilluminati47, I loved your theme ! However sometimes I get annoyed by the BG pictures.. could you make a simple version with BG only on information menu of your optimized theme with black dvd cover and 8 bit?
