I just recently bought a used ps2 slim, and it came with kingdom hearts 2 and re4. im not techy so Right now i was thinking of buying a controller but cant find official ds2 controllers that wont cost a lot. only those unofficial ones. you think it matters to the console if it's the official controllers or not? because the one it came with is a wireless one that uses batteries and for some reason, it just vibrates endlessly when playing re4.

Best to buy an original controller. Third party ones are trash, even branded ones. Analog sticks use wrong value potentiometers, making precise analog stick input not possible. It's playable at best.

There is also a possibility that original controller could be refurbished with low quality analog sticks. Also you can mod third party controller with proper value potentiometers.

Not sure what causes that issue with the wireless controller, but you can disable rumble motor in game settings.
