PERMA BAN CLARIFACATION/HELP NEEDED

hi i got a perma ban on Tuesday and i was hoping someone here could help me understand how the banning system works and what i can hopefully do to get my account reduced to a temp suspension. here is the email i got from sony notifying me of the ban no warning no nothing.

Notice: Unauthorized or pirated software has been detected on your PlayStation®3 system. This use has violated the terms of both the "System Software License Agreement for the PlayStation®3 System" and the "Terms of Services and User Agreement" for the PlayStation™Network/Sony Network Services and its Community Code of Conduct provisions. As a result, your Sony Network account has been permanently banned and access to PlayStation™Network and Sony Network services through your PlayStation®3 system has been terminated permanently.

so the only thing i did was go online to play gta4 and had a modder installed in it to use some map mods and make the game more enjoyable hence everyone does it now {yes i used my main account thinking it would be ok since everyone does it.... so my dilemma is all my digital games that i have bought and paid for on my ps4 are basically gone and that's easily 750$ cad. also this is my first offence i have had this account since 2009!! and i feel like this is a bit far fetched especially the ps3 is like 2 generations behind now. so if anyone can please provide me with a solution or something that would be great

everyone is not using mod menus to cheat online. that is because some of us stopped playing online because of cheaters ruining the gameplay.

everyone who hacks a ps3 should take some measure to protect it. even if you do not use psn, the ps3 talks to sony and tells on you for using homebrew apps. never use an account with purchases on it with a hacked ps3.

you need a new CID from an unbanned, dead ps3. don't buy one online because they sell each of those to multiple people. when one of those people is banned so are you.

But like i say the problem isn't the fact that my console is banned from psn my issue is the fact that Sony decided to perma ban my account. And was wondering if this is normal 1 and 2 what i can do to reduce the ban hopefully because i have alot of ps4 digital games.

You could try lying them... that You have sold PS3 many years ago, and You don't know why You have ban on PS4. Maybe ban will be lifted from PS4, and You will get unset PS3 on this account. But this can have sense only in case if You don't using the same credit card for buying stuff and if operator will not checking ip addresses correlate with both consoles in short period. Most of peoples selling consoles without restoring default state (i.e because selling with games installed) and don't even changing password.

And yes, this is immoral. Just like multi-console ban or account ban for all consoles.

Golden rule: You hacked console, then forget about online services. Nothing has changed in this matter and never will. Peoples spoofing IDPS and using different NPAID, plus eventually disabling some syscalls, for only online playing but this is waste of time.

No one will tell You what are bans criteria and how exactly detection works, because this is server side job.

Bans often going not only for account (NP Account ID) but also console itself (IDPS). In case of Sony, for all devices tied to SEN account.

there's nothing you can do. there's no way it will be lifted unless you can prove fraud. here's the suspensions information: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/account/suspensions-psn/

even if you buy the system via a third party and it's banned, sony won't lift the suspension. it's normal for them to ban both system and account. it happened to me too, but I got everything but trophies back. so i just walk away from all my purchases I made from ps store then? like seriously wouldn't a console ban with a temp ban be enough like this is my first ban ever on sony I've never been banned before on Microsoft or Nintendo lol? like seriously if they want to stop jailbreaks put console bans not account bans..

and yeh my account is locked out everywhere i cant log in anywhere. its a perma ban which i think is completely far fetched and im hoping to get access back to my account at least NOT the console.

I had no games on my console when I got banned, but I think they detected multiman somehow. I know that was on there. they put "unauthorized software" to the description to cover all bases, but I'm sure sony assumes that everyone with cfw is pirating, but since they can't prove that, they've added unauthorized software for any homebrews they detect. what happened with my account affected the vita, pstv, and the ps4, but I managed to get everything but trophies back on all systems. I'm now using three separate accounts on each of the systems, and I have the emails linked to my computer and my phone, so that they can always be monitored. I was naive, thinking that I wouldn't be banned, but now I take extra precautions. the recent ps4 avatar thread I made -- I deliberately took the pic without it showing the fake name I used from the online.json file. I'm that paranoid about getting banned again. it's not a fun experience, especially if you have many saves, trophies, and purchases across multiple systems. you just have to accept that you're taking a risk, and you agreed with the tos. imo, hacked consoles don't belong online anyway, so it's hard to feel sorry for someone when they get banned. I was pretty angry about it myself, but I knew what I was doing when I exploited the system, so I had no one to blame but myself.

S#ny & its antiquated ways to look at business.. They may pay lip service to their customers every now & then but their actions are more meaningful than their words & they all say the same thing imho, they don't give a damn about their customers as long as profits are rolling in.

In your particular case, you need to look at it this way, you agreed to certain terms & conditions among which never to use modified hardware/software to connect to PSN but then you used customised software & breached that agreement, legally speaking they are justified in banning you, whether you like it or not, whether you think it fair or not, whether it is the first time or not etc...
You are free to try complaining or making up excuses but you should consider that they have seen & heard it all by now & your prospects to sweet talk them or fool them successfully are about 0.

I didn't get my ban lifted. it doesn't matter if you claim your account was hacked. sony won't care. that's the one thing I hate about sony. at least Nintendo doesn't do this on the switch or at least it's very rare to have an account banned if caught on cfw. sony gives you no incentive to go legit. in fact, it promotes piracy and further hacking. though, sony isn't really the brightest company out there.

Yea like everyone said you are beat man. If it was a temp ban it would say so. Now is a good time to learn what precautions to take in the future so this doesn't happen to you again. Psnpatch, dummy accounts, main idps, and online idps.

dummy account for sure. I was using psn patch, and I was still caught. I think bits was too when he was banned, and he told me he was only signing in to download crunchy roll (not sure if that's when he was banned or what he thinks got him banned). I simply don't sign in on any console. I once accidentally signed in to vita shell while signed in on the vita, because I didn't realize I'd still be signed in after rebooting the system (this was when I was downgrading, I think). sony must not care about that system, because I was never banned and it's been about a year. I told @atreyu187 about it, and he told me not to worry, because he's opened homebrew multiple times while signed in. many people have on the vita. you might be banned for cheating though, but I'm not sure. I know trophy cheating doesn't get you banned on the vita, so sony must simply not care. lol

Probably just copying them to another account, just moving its folders, it works that simple on PSVITA

PS3 you can move too, just need to resign them.


I got the same case, i just copied my trophies and save over the other account, resigned and done.

it's pretty easy to get back what's lost. you could've either used a proxy to get the links or back up the games manually. reactpsn's purpose is to reactivate games if you're banned, though a lot of people use it for piracy. with the vita, you just have to delete the id.dat and rebuild the database. with the ps4, you just have to create fake pkgs of games and patches (both can be done at the same time) with app dumper, gengp4, then orbis, then ftp themes and dl can be done with just a backup and orbis (no gengp4). themes and dlc are a little more difficult, since you have to make the pkg by hand and create your own param.sfo, but still very easy to do.

tut tut skimming the rule of forum but like IGAD since losing so much $ to F#ony. They asked for it by giving no access to our purchase games. Really dumb of them to ban purchases of people who know how to RooT JB systems. Really what did they think we would do. Take lose of thousands plus without compensation.
