So I've replaced the 80gb hard drive on a PS3 phat that's been modded as the old one had failed. Sadly I have no idea what firmware version it was on.
I've formatted both the hard drive and USB drive fat32 via the Rufus tool.
When I load it asks me to connect storage of 2.45 or later.
I've tried the official firmware and I get the message " no applicable data was found"
When I try CFW 4.8 or CEX 3.5 for example I get
"The data is corrupted. (8002F2B5)"
Serial number ends in CECHL03
Any help or direction would be amazing as I'm stuck after trying a out 15 different firmware versions.
