Hi everyone. I have an European phat PS3 model CECHE04 that has semi hardware compatibility with PS2 disk games. However, when I try to play PS2 game(European PAL) on it, it will always halt when I press PS button after it rebooted to PS2 environment and started running the game. PS2 splash screen, games' opening, even the "Press PS Button" popup all went well, until I press PS button to use the controller, screen freezes and sound stutters, green light, the whole system just halts.
Same things happens when I connect the controller via USB cable to the console, and if I start the game with controller connected to the console, it would halt at a 4:3 black screen, even before PS2 splash screen.
Only function works at halt is ejecting the disc, thus I can only cut off the power to reboot the console.
Does anyone know what happened?
