once I get some rest, I'll try to help u. I haven't slept for two days so I've been a little cranky.

edit: kozzy can probably help more quickly though.

Can you extract some wav from rco and upload as an example? I can convert but i need example from rco.

I already had a bit of a look, the wav he has seems to be exactly the same as the one that RCOmage creates when it extracts them, so Im not sure why it wont repack (convert) it.

They are both
Code:
Audio: PCM 48000Hz stereo 1536kbps [A: pcm_s16le, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, s16, 1536 kb/s]

His wav is almost 1MB though so it could be a size limitation with RCOmage, it throws some error about structure.

Here is an example WAV from a system rco

Files have different header, and some other parts later, of course excluding sound data.

RIFFjŔ..WAVEJUNK................................fmt ........€»...î......LIST....INFOISFT....Lavf57.41.100.data.Ŕ is converted wav
RIFFdX..WAVEfmt ........€»...î......data@X original file

Should the wav be that big? 1Mb for 5s?
Seems awfully big for that kind of sound... [emoji5]️

If the file format is a problem, it is simple enough to rebuild a wav file with default settings using a sound editor..

After changing header file is converting to

snd_trophy.ch0.vag
snd_trophy.ch1.vag

But both files are 4kb I doubt they work, anyway after changing header file is recognized by RCOmage so point is just to make proper wav.

So it just wanted me to enter a header file. Ok but now the size issue is present so it might still not work lol

True size isn't a factor for Rco but to me, if we start using Mb for this kind of things, anything fancy would have to be in the 100Mb figures, hell we could use Gb as well for a 10mn file in 96Khz for Studio...
The question remains is it worth it?

I was thinking the user could try a few other tools to convert the wav to something else lossless, and then back to wav to see if it helped, might get lucky with the right header (and a working file).

those r channels up to 8 I believe. it's hard to say if that will work. that's awfully small. sound is usually the largest over video.
