PS3HEN PKG on 4.87 no longer work

So i have a strange issue. My HDD recently died so I had to reinstall from scratch with HEN 4.87. Now, every time I start up my PS3 and enable HEN none of my games work, I have to load one RIF PKG file (doesn't matter for what game - and I have a few) and then magically all games start to work again. Any thoughts?

you need to re-activate your psn account for games. the pkg you are installing must have your act.dat file in it along with the rif file. you must reactivate anytime you switch hdds. (unless you have models A, B, C, E, or G...they keep act.dat in flash intead of hdd)

When you say reactivate, you mean just log into my psn account in the console? I'm sorry for stupid questions, I'm a bit green when it comes to this whole thing.

yes. it is under account management. you may have to deactivate then activate. make sure you do it for games, not videos.
