PKGI: Freeze On Main Page

Hi! Back with another problem this is regarding PKGI

I am trying to install it and so I followed the video PKGI for PS3: From Start to Finish

everything was going good until I start up PKGI

The application loads up but then I cant press anything could it be that I am using a ps4 controller?

The system it's self doesn't crash as I can go to the home screen with the bootleg ps3 controller

but I cant have both bootleg and usb plugged in as it causes my usb to transfer files all corrupted as it doesn't get enough power
 
Just to clarify I need usb connected to load the Config.txt file

but even when just on the application alone with the bootleg I can only press the home button
 
Okay so I did have a PS3 official controller wasn't working fixed it now and even then it still doesn't let me open the menu or anything all i can do is press the home button
