PS3 Playing Online on CFW PS3!

I updated my CFW PS3 to 4.89 Evilnat Cobra (8.3) and I havent played online before with a jailbroken PS3 and I would like to try it for the first time. Reading the post people would mention to disable syscalls option and logging into PSN online. Some also have suggested to spoof the console id in case there could be a ban as an additional measure. Is there any way to spoof the console ID as extra measure in case a ban could occur? I dont plan to use any cfw tools, hacks, or mods, etc

There are various tools that let you spoof the console ID (idps + psid):
- IDPSet let you change it permanently
- webMAN MOD let you change it temporarily in LV2 memory (the original CID is restored when restart)
- Other tools are: SEN enabler and psnpatch. Maybe more.

The SEN enabler and psnpatch both seem to be outdated so I'm not sure if its best to use them. I could try the IDPset or webMan but it seems like I need to find new idps numbers to change the current console one. Where can I obtain those?

is it possible to enter random numbers? what happens if I change the ids but I log in with the usual username and password? and if there is also the reactpsn account in the system?

Is there any working tools that can be used for spoofing for the latest 4.89 version? The most recommended ones are psnpatch and SEN enabler havent been updated in a while and could be detected.

Psnpatch never could..
Sen enabler could until 4.87, something like that.

You shouldn't even try anyway, s#ny is currently deploying PSN changes that make practices such as version spoofing an unknown risk.

Consider purchasing an IDPS in advance so you never go online with your own real IDPS. That way if you ever go back to OFW you won't have your console banned.
Also consider using a throwaway PSN account cause it may get banned as well and you don't want to lose everything you have on your PSN account.

If you just want to sync the trophies from time to time or use the save cloud etc but not play games online do you need to go through all the steps mentioned? I have hacked my ps3 yet but will hopefully be doing it in the not too distant future.
