No I meant in Rebug didn't you add a Homebrew blocker? Where you couldn't go online while syscalls were enabled??

Hmm I think that was part of wMM's safety feature.. I don't recall doing that on Cobra. @STLcardsWS is right with the plugin PSN is disabled till syscalls are disabled.

I recall what it was. Once syscalls were disabled it blocked apps like multiMAN and such from launching.
 
PSN Patch will block access to PSN unless the SYSCALs are disabled if you install the plugin and once the SYSCALs are disbaled it will stop homebrew from being able to be launched. You can disable the homebrew block in PSN Patch if you really wanted to be its a handy feature to keep enabled.

Anyways I completely forgot PSNpatch "plugin" disables PSN until syscalls are disabled which is a security feature that I never need. Which doesn't happen if the plugin's not used. This is a standalone feature from PSN patch plugin itself which is not part of Cobra. Homebrew blocker is part of Cobra though like @aldostools explained.

Yeah took a while to remember as I hadn't used CFW in a while. Can't seem to get the plugin to work with HEN anyhow. Never get the PSN Patch enabled notification
 
So , do you suggest PSN patch ? I wanted to go online once with PSN patch on my CFW ps3 but don't know if it is safe. I have bought content with my PSN account and afraid that I would loose my account.

I have an idea. Please tell me if I'm wrong or right. I have a cfw ps3 with homebrews and what if I install dual boot firmware over cfw and play online (without removing the homebrew apps). After playing online can I again install CFW and turn off internet and stop using PSN online ??

I would use PSN Patch, but thats just my preference as its easy and simple to use.

And as you have an account with paid content I would set up another PSN Account to go online with, this way it will be the account you don't really care about that gets banned, if you did, and not the account with all you paid content. Thats what I do, I never use my main account online, unless I am downloading something I bought from the PS Store, that has my PSN content linked to it, I use 2 other "Throw away" accounts that I don't really care if they get banned or not.
 
Every time i try to connect my console online, i get the PLEASE UPDATE FIRMWARE TO 4.84

Back when 4.82 was the norm, i would usually just use SEN enabler and it would allow me to spoof and go online.

Is there an new version of sen enabler i need to download that will work for 4.84? Been a while since i played online

why would you spoof with the same version? did you update to 4.84 with the spoofer enabled? 'cause you're supposed to disable it first.

Do i need to download another version of sen enabler to be able to do that? Sorry i havent been in this scene for months and would hardly call myself a 'pro' at this stuff by any means.

I belive i am running rebug 4.8.1 if that makes any difference
 
use version 6.2.2. if u cant find it on this site it is on brewology as well.

if u are on 4.84 u shouldnt need to spoof firmware version at all. only needed if on lower firmware version.

Okay, i'll look for Sen enabler 6.2.2 and try to give it a go.

I am running Rebug 4.8.1 cfw
 
... Why don't you just upgrade to 4.84 CFW ?

REBUG Toolbox or WebMAN Mod can tell you what CFW version you are on

I've got a 4.84 CFW and a 4.84 HFW myself right now.

I can't be bothered reinstalling everything and adjusting all my settings again. I've installed 4.8.2 once and it caused some instability so I'd rather just stick with what works best for my system anyway

Will try to install a the latest version of sen enabler today and see if I'm able to connect online
 
Hey guys.
Can I enable internet connection and then go to homebrew apps? I mean just enabling the internet connection, not signing in to PSN. I asked this question because if you create a psn account on the user, when you test internet connection you'll see that it checks PSN too.
And Another question about psninja. Is it still useful ? Because I heard that it is outdated not working properly
 
I believe the checking psn thing is if you're signed in, because the one on the vita will error saying that you need to sign in just to check if it's working properly. psn ninja is outdated, so try psn patch or sen enabler.

I wanna play modern warfare 2 online but i am not sure about somethings.
should i use EBOOT Anti-ban even when i am not modding?
and if i want to mod this game, where to download the Anti-ban EBOOT?
I heard that some modded EBOOTs are not safe and cause ban, is it true?
