Why wouldn't it be?
It would be illegal if hacking & homebrew development were criminal activities by essence but it is not the case.
Of course some hackers & developers may develop illegal software like encryption or PSN account bruteforcers but to my knowledge, the groups/individuals you mention don't do/release anything illegal, quite the opposite actually, they are careful to avoid this kind of things.
 
On top of that, scene community doing great free work for data forensics. ;) It would be kind a stupid to kill it just like that by tighten law. It is grey space, but not illegal if isn't directly related to piracy.

You have no idea how much setting up fmcb at 9 changed my perspective on console modifications!
Its so cool to see nes on a completely different architecture run!
I know most of you people here probably didnt help with fmcb but my point is this site is a goldmine of useful info!

Thanks for asking

We had a direct donation via paypal and the kofi was also attached to that paypal account.

However paypal decided to restrict our account and we can no longer use paypal.

So currently only donation options are patreon only.

You can make a one off donation there, just be sure to cancel the monthly pledge
we will provide another solution soon for one time donation's / some crypto addresses as well
