PS3 please Help me with Jailbreak

Hello everybody,

after several days I slowly despair.

I have a PS 3 with the "CECH-2004A" version and have already tried many instructions with a jailbrake, but nothing would work properly! :-(

I'm really desperate and about to give up.

I can successfully install an image (e.g. REBUG_4.86.1_LITE or 4.86.1 HFW) then I successfully run the "bgtoolset" (** www.** ** www.ps3xploit.net > D... (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com)/bgtoolset) and can patch the chip using the Flash Memory Manager. Until then everything is OK.

Then I install * .pkg files like "webMAN" or "multiMAN" these could be executed once with a few attempts, but after a restart only a BLACK window appears, PS3 simply restarts or nothing else happened!?!? That makes me despair and I don't know why?

I tried several times to restore everything cleanly, to play the original "PS3UPDAT.PUP" twice and then to Jailbraken again but nothing brings me anything, the result is always the same. What am I doing wrong?

Please, please help me ...

Does the black screen appears on restarting the ps3 or while attempting to run homebrew like webman/multiman?
 
UPDATE:

The firmware ([release] FERROX 4.86 CFW (CEX) with Cobra 8.20) could be installed without problems.

Then I was able to successfully install webMAN and multiMAN. Now I have started multiMAN and the screen goes black and nothing happens anymore :-(. I had to shut down the PS3 (by holding the power button for a long time).

That is exactly the situation that I unfortunately do not understand. ; (||

If I insert a game DVD, I can also play, I think the hardware works.

No matter what I try, the installation runs smoothly, but nothing can be started. The screen goes black and nothing more happens.

Try rebug lite 4.86

Also, run 5th option, Restore Ps3 from recovery mode. Ps3 will format the HDD.
 
I am once again playing the last original FW several times via the recovery menu.

The .pkg files can also be installed without any problems. Only when starting or executing did it only work once and after a restart no application starts anymore !? I always get a black screen and sometimes nothing happens afterwards.

It's so strange that I can't understand it. For this reason I have tried everything several times and tried to install it step by step and cleanly.

But the problem with the installed "apps" always persists, no matter what I tried.
 
This problem seems with faulty blue ray logic board. Either the ribbon cable is loose or faulty. If ur logic board is faulty, u need to install nobd firmware
 
OK, is there a photo somewhere that I know where I can look and get to?

But I also want to mention again that I can insert and play GAME DVDs from the drive!

A link to firmware would be great. Is everything possible with it (games from HDD)?

Does it reads blu-rays games and movies?
 
Sorry, just tested everything again. It is true that as soon as I put in the games CD, the screen black and nothing happens!
The game is recognized but it cannot be started.
What can I do now?
What action can I take? :-(

Most probably is either the BD daughterboard, or the connection in between BD daughterboard and the main motherboard
And what is causing you some confussion is it seems the behaviour is unstable (sometimes works, and sometimes doesnt works)


*Btw, is named jailbreak (not jailbrake)... because we are breaking the jail :)
 
If the drive recognizes the game but "freezes" when it is started or only a black screen appears. What can it be most of the time? Laser or circuit board?

Usually is just the flat cable/s that connects the BD drive with the main motherboard. Or the connectors of that cables

The connectors have a "clip" that allows to move it to 2 positions "opened" and "closed", there is many people that breaks that clip, and after that the cables are a bit loose (doesnt makes a good electrical connection)

Also, sometimes that flat cables could break internally if you bend them, or can be peeled at his tips (where are located the copper contacts)
