Hello everyone, first of all, I want to explain that I'm new to the PS2 scene.
Currently, my PS2 has been modded with a matrix chip back in 2015, and now I want to start playing it again. However, I'm confused about what preparations I need to make. I've watched various tutorials and learned that I need to install FreeMCBoot. So, I've purchased FreeMCBoot and when I turn on the PS2, the screen still displays the same message, "loading boot menu v.100". Can you please guide me on what I should do to see the menu on my PS2? Is there any specific file system I need?

Note: I've tried modifying various config.txt files as suggested by YouTubers, but I still haven't been successful. Please help me out. and i've already try to use triangle+circle to get in to matrix system, but its always show "no signal" on my screen

I have no idea what are You talking about...

FMCB 1.8b will work with most of modchips and FMCB 1.9xx doesn't with majority of them. FMCB must be installed cross-regionally to run on different MG region than was installed of.

What is displaying in menu, user defines.

What "config.txt" about You talking? For what application and where?

And what exactly You want do to with Your console? For booting game copies alone, You don't need FMCB, because You have modchip.
